Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaBooked through booking.com, and the price for two nights stay charged was $60 more than the Booking.com confirmation showed amount. have sent an email to the Inn asking for the invoice, but have not received a replay.
Great location, historical old building, on the historical street walking. A beautiful street, shops and the waterfont. The room was spacious and large living area, the bed was comfortable, initially a bit worried about the eternal apearance, but inside was clean, pleasant. Pastries in the morning and evenning were freshly made, very delicious. Enjoyed two nights stay.

AustraliaNothing, but be aware that the hotel access is down a set of steps from the street level. Staff would be more than willing to help with luggage if required.
Best hotel we stayed in during 5 weeks in North America. Excellent location, amazing room and the best staff we encountered in our long trip. Just stay there!

United KingdomVery warm welcome and staff very helpful (especially Kevin, thanks for the help with our cases). Lovely old character building. Our room was beautiful, like an apartment suite with a mezzanine second bedroom. Offered complimentary soft drinks and coffee/muffin.

United States of AmericaAs far as what I did not like, nothing really comes to mind. The Olde Harbor Inn offered everything we were looking for.
We liked everything about the place, especially the large comfortable rooms. We were looking for a place that had history attached and this place fit the bill perfectly. It was perfectly situated with an easy walk to places of interest, restaurants and bars.

United KingdomIt was a little tired, the decor was lovely but needs a refresh. We arrived about 8pm and found it very difficult to find the reception (never having been to Savannah before) - our Uber dropped us on the top level and there was no indication in the dark as to where the reception was, and when I did find it, it looked all closed up. Eventually after leaving my family with the suitcases at street level in the heat, I found a door bell and the door was opened. Had a lovely welcome and fortunately we had made the right decision to not drag our suitcases down the stairs to the reception. Next morning we went to get breakfast expecting a choice of muffins or pastries - but no there were only fruit muffins. So not a suitable option for our fussy teenager. Mentioned it that evening during the wine hour and were told that it should be a choice but no there never was a choice and we were told by the less than friendly morning receptionist that it is one or the other and never either and he was only offering muffins. Not enough hangers in the closets and no refresh of toiletries. We were only there three nights so cleaning wasn’t necessary but making up the beds would have been lovely.
We loved the old building, the location and the space in the room, with 2 separate sleeping areas, which was ideal when travelling with a teenager. Also having a separate sitting room with a small kitchen was a welcome change from eating meals on our beds. The wine hour with canapés at 5.30pm was very welcome and enjoyed as were the ice cream treats in the freezer and the availability of chilled water bottles and cans. Made to feel very welcome by the afternoon staff.

United States of AmericaI easily found the hotel. I am horrible with directions and could not figure out how to get to parking lot with the one way streets and cobblestone ramps. Finally parked up the hill and called the hotel. The sent Kevin to get me. He walked up this hill. In Savannah . In August. Exceptional. It was like a small apartment. Very nice accommodations. Ice cream in freezer every night and goodie bag for dogs upon arrival. Definitely recommend this place

United States of AmericaNoise, stiff bed, and water heater leak in the ceiling.
Good location and within walking distance to a lot of the hints folks come to Savannah for. It’s dated, but well maintained, except for the hot water heater leak above us the last night. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The beds were stiff, and my back still hurts. We liked the room because it was centered, but they had to give us earplugs because of the noise outside the window and being close to downtown.

The historic hotel was nice and expectations were made to accommodate the age. There were nice touches like ice cream in the fridge. The bedding was Walmart quality (sheets, mattress & pillows). The duvet was great. Furnishings very nice. The floors were clean but they didn't clean under the raised furniture. Yuck. A big shout out for Kevin. He was a bright star as host!. Also night desk guy was very helpful and pleasant.
