Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaHonestly--I enjoyed every bit, but I am a seasoned traveller that has a special love for historical homes and independently run inns. Please remember that this is a "b&b" type experience, and if you're looking for the bright white, modern dentist-office style stay--then this won't be for you (your loss!)
Amazing revived older home right near the heart of Downtown Augusta--each room was decorated uniquely and comfortably, and named after important women in Augusta's history. One of the owners, Melinda, greeted me personally and was so cordial and friendly. The downstairs pub is a treat and I was so sorry I was too tired to enjoy the live music in person. I absolutely plan on coming back to enjoy this "Bed & Bar" !! Great value for the location, and you get to experience a piece of Augusta history!

United States of AmericaAccurately marketed as not a bed and breakfast; however, coffee service could be a little upgraded for those of us that need an early cup of joe to start the day. (Old Keurig downstairs does not work properly and cheap in-room single servers could be replaced with better working options.) Also, some shelving in the bathroom so toiletries do not have to be placed on back of toilet would also be a huge plus.
Historic and charming inn - great location - warm, welcoming hosts. The bar downstairs has an authentic Irish Pub vibe. Will stay here again!

United States of AmericaI rarely write reviews anymore because they take time and frankly most venues we go to are overpriced and underwhelming. This inn - bar - music venue is however an exception. Our host Melinda was awesome. Such a nice welcoming and informative person. The inn is quaint and charming and gives you a sense of what life was like years ago. The room was comfortable, clean, and filled with little artifacts that made it feel like home and on an adventure simultaneously. We went to dinner, came back to the inn, relaxed for a while then headed to the bar downstairs, had a few drinks and listened to live music with a crowd that was happy and friendly. The gal that works the bar had been there for a very long time was so nice and really knew exactly what to get us to drink when we were ready. A waitress at one place we went to earlier in the day told us the inn was a hidden gem and that locals all knew that. Now we know it and will definitely go back when we are back in Augusta.

United States of AmericaHonestly everything was great. There was a dead bug on the table by the lamp but I’m a detailed person so I think most people wouldn’t have even seen it.
It was incredibly unique, quiet and comfortable.

United States of AmericaI really can't think of anything to put here, I can't stress enough how great of a stay this was.
The location was great, within about a mile or so of most of the downtown area. The bar in the basement, the Fox's Lair, was absolutely incredible and felt like a well-kept secret. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, and it was great hanging out in the room and hearing the live music filter up through the floor (although it was definitely not loud enough to disturb you if you wanted to sleep instead). The guidebook that Chuck, the host, provided was probably the most comprehensive and enjoyable guidebook I've ever seen, with great restaurant reviews, info about local attractions, and was written with a great sense of humor by someone who clearly had spent a lot of time at all the places that were recommended. It also included some fascinating info about the property itself, its background, and its historical significance. The room itself was clean and well put together, and the decor felt like it went with the room. The TV was a smart TV with streaming capability, which is always a nice feature to have at the end of the night. The property feels very safe, with multiple keyed entrances to get to the room, so even if the bar is hopping you still feel secure. All in all, it was a great stay at a great property, and we absolutely will be back!

United States of AmericaAt first we were surprised at the house and location, but as we got to see more of Augusta, I appreciated the "Olde Towne" where we were. It was perfect for our needs. We had an event at the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art literally two blocks away.
The best thing was the proprietor, who was so accommodating and fair-minded. We greatly appreciated his help when we needed it. In the basement of the Inn is a much loved "Fox's Lair" lounge and bar where they sing Irish tunes on Tuesday evenings. Augustans are the nicest people in the world. Southern hospitality is not a euphemism. It's real. The Inn is on older house located in an older district of Augusta . The rooms were spacious with many thoughtful amenities, like fridge and coffee maker. A fun bakery in a pink-painted house is across the street.

United States of AmericaIf you're trying to sleep early, the live music might be loud so just be aware there's a live band in the basement most nights.
The bar downstairs was great, good after coming back and live band attracted almost a full bar of people. It's close to a lot of the shops and restaurants. Very nice area with older architecture well maintained.
