I loved the beautiful stairway, but I would have appreciated having the option of the elevator that opened across from my room. The fact that it had an elevator from back in the day was pretty awesome. My room was hot, but the owner installed a window ac and it worked fine.

Absolutely beautiful home being thoughtfully restored to its glory. Gracious grounds and very serene. Loved the use of color and the feel of eccentric grandeur throughout.

I tried not to miss the TV in my room but I did....

Beautiful and comfortable house and room. Very quiet with many amenities such as snacks, water, a fridge, and easy parking. Plenty of warm water for showers as all plumbing is modern. Very clean and kept and luxurious.

The property is stunning!! The pictures do not do this place justice, you HAVE to see it in person! The location provides nice evening walks and everything is close by.

It was absolutely beautiful and well maintained. The furniture and all the other furnishings were exquisite. It was a wonderful and relaxing weekend due in large part to the environment.

Not that it was bad, and I realize it's an historically preserved property, but we struggled a bit with the lighting in our room. No lamps (overhead light only), only one outlet for us to share. No nightstands for eyeglasses, phones, etc.

We completely enjoyed our stay! Bobby was a great host, and the mansion is beautiful. We utilized the certificate/coupon for breakfast. Very good! We would never have known about it and will definitely return. Location was great for getting downtown. We traveled with another couple whose room was WAAY more updated. We enjoyed the 2nd floor common area to have coffee with them in the morning.

In the king suite the hot water went cold before the tub could fill up completely. Nothing else, it was beautiful!!

This is an absolutely fabulous place to stay. The building and its recent restoration are remarkably beautiful, well furnished and appointed, as well as authentic to the core. One feels transported to an age when craftmanship, beauty and elegance were true aspirations. Our stay ranks among our very favorites in all of our travel. And the hosts are a treat as well. I would prefer breakfast at the location, but it was fine to have the voucher to get breakfast in the center of old town. Gave me a chance to look around the old part of town and food was excellent.
