The furniture is a little old and could be more comfortable. I also think that swapping carpet for tile or wood style flooring would work better and be cooler

The location is among the most beautiful in the world. The community is extremely well kept. The condo is well maintained and has all the appointments you'll need

Air conditioning would have been nice. An ocean view versus courtyard view would have been nice. There were many baby ants in the kitchen even though we did not leave food out

The location was wonderful and the access to Hideaway Beach was a real bonus. Excellent value for price compared to other options. The available beach items: chairs, umbrella, and boogie board were VERY appreciated.

The walk out patio is nice but there is no ocean view or breeze. It's tucked in a courtyard. It was also very hot while we were there and when we arrived, it was stifling inside the unit and smelled from the wood vaulted ceiling baking in the sun. We opened as many windows are we could and turned on the fans. We couldn't even stay in there. We had to go to the pool. The pool is very close but nothing exciting. No umbrellas for shade. It was so hot you could not sit in the sun without an umbrella. No views or resort-like environment. There's a pizza place above the pool and you hear the noise from the restaurant while sitting at the pool. We were never able to use the upstairs bedroom. I paid extra to book a 2 bedroom for my mom and I who is 82 and I ended up sleeping on the sofa. It never cooled off upstairs. Not enough airflow. We had to run the fans in front of the windows all night to get it to cool downstairs. And it would by about 4-5am. Essentially we ended up with a 1 bedroom and paid for a 2 bedroom. Although, in general Princeville is a beautiful area, would rather have a place that has water views, since there's no beach there or atmospheric pool area. It's also interesting that there really aren't any restaurants in the entire complex that have views or an island like feel. Hanalei Bay Resort has Happy Talk, but its more of a sports bar feel. We ended up at our favorite in Hanalei, the Dolphin. The previous St. Regis (not that I'm a huge fan of 5 star) had the views and option to eat or have a cocktail with a view. Overall the decor is nice and the unit was clean, but making a few tweaks would upgrade the appeal. The wall art isnt placed well. And the newer pieces don't coordinate with the older ones. I like the Hawaiian quilt on the downstairs bed, but the mattress and and sheets need replacing. The sheets are not soft at all--rough and scratchy. Mattress sinks in middle.

Princeville is a very nice area, but the location of this unit didn't offer any views. It was pretty quiet and private around the unit. The unit furnishing were comfortable, spacious and fairly updated. Some additional updates would make it great. Also not really convenient to a larger beach. We drove into Hanalei Bay everyday to use the beach, which is beautiful. Walking to the point every evening for the sunset was a highlight.
