Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SerbiaThe hotel is in an excellent location, and the check-in process is very straightforward. The room was small but had everything necessary. Everything was very clean and matched the description on Booking.

FinlandRooms are small and noisy street...prepare to use ear blugs (provided by hotel) if you are not sleeping like a log.
Location, location, location. Very well situated from Pike Place Market, Harbourfront and city shopping & eating.

CanadaThe rooms are a bit noisy, probably because of the conditioning-heating system. The breakfast only starts at 8 am. The 500 $ deposit on the credit card looks exaggerated.
The rooms are quite large and with nice furniture. The staff is helpful and the location very convenient close to market, convention center and other attractions. Everything is very clean.

United States of AmericaNoise level from the street was high, although not totally unexpected due to the hotel's location. Only one elevator and the stairs were not very convenient.
Staff, location and charm of the hotel were a plus. The hotel was funky, in a nice way.

United KingdomIt wasn't possible to stream/cast content to the in-room TV, but with its location that's by no means a deal breaker.
Stepping into your room in The Palihotel Seattle feels like you're stepping into a set from a Wes Anderson movie. Great decor and interior design, and a lovely, comfy bed. Well located for everything in downtown and beyond.

CanadaThe soundproofing of the room was poor and the hotel is in a busy location, so expect noise to all hours of the night and morning.
Beautiful hotel, very clean. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and you could not ask for a better location if you're visiting Pike Place!

United States of AmericaThe hotel beds were not the most comfortable if you have back trouble. I would keep an eye on the price you get charged and make sure it matches the price advertised.
The location was great. Right next to the market and the downtown area. The decor was a fun vintage retro vibe with art deco influences. The staff was friendly and helpful.

United States of AmericaThe sash windows in this hotel were poor and with the great location by Pike Market meant that the street noise on 1st Ave was disturbing especially in the early hours of the morning !
I love staying at Palihotels for their locations, comfortable rooms, great decor and their adjoining restaurant / bar areas. Great staff too !

CanadaThe sink is not in the bathroom, the sound isolation isn’t the best and the blind doesn’t really block out the lights from the street.

United States of AmericaBring ear plugs! If you forget, they provide them for you. The staff was very friendly! We could have picked a room that was in the inner ring but wanted to see the bustling market area. So there are quieter options. The locations cannot be better for exploring what Seattle has to offer! Minutes from the Pike Market, 10 minute walk to the monorail to the needle. 10 minute walk to the big museums and right on the subway line. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

CanadaBedroom was incredibly small, personally I think a hotel room should not offer a room with a bed against a wall, especially for that price. The mattress was incredibly worn in, one person felt like we were sleeping in a hill while the other one of us felt like we were sleeping at the bottom of it about to fall off. At minimum needs to be flipped but most likely needs to be replaced.
Very friendly staff and very close to a number of tourist attractions

CanadaThe internet wasn’t working during our 3 day stay. The staff were apologetic and understanding, and even gave us a discount for the inconvenience, but it detracted from our trip.
The location, right around the corner from Pike Place Market, couldn’t be more convenient. The adjacent restaurant is excellent for breakfast and lunch, and there’s a fantastic café across the street (and tons of cafés, restaurants, bars and shops nearby.

United States of AmericaWe were playing games with the lights for some reason. They either wouldn’t cut off (lamps) or we would leave a light on (bathroom light) and it would cut off. At one point we were blinded by the light on the desk. I learned the hard way it was motion activated at 3am when I got up to pee and had a spotlight in my eyes.
I loved the decor and vintage. Made the stay extra special!

CanadaWe had booked three rooms under the same reservation (2 King Rooms and 1 Queen room) and the size varied drastically from room to room. We actually asked for my parents room to be changed because one of the King rooms was the same size or smaller than the queen room. Also was quite loud at night.
Great, funky boutique hotel right beside Pike Street Market. The decor and atmosphere of the hotel is top notch and the bathrooms products and mini fridge are stocked with great brands. Also a great little bar/restaurant in the hotel.
