The only complaint was the water pressure in the shower was horrible more like a rain fall the shower itself was really cool looking with the pebble stone floor but unfortunately all you think about is how long the shower is taking to get soap out of your hair

The location was perfect close to everything we wanted to do and really close to plenty of food spots and downtown area the beach is maybe five minutes drive time

The bed was a bit small, due to a mix up we had to switch to a Queen. Once checked in it was great fun. We were late to our reservation, so they gave away our room but that was our fault for not contacting the front desk to let them know.

Loved the bar accommodation and overall staff experience. They made some killer drinks and dinner we were about to enjoy in our room. The food was amazing.

Nothing really...everything about our stay was great.

Being surprised! For starters, the onsite restaurant was excellent. Our wait staff was someone I would want to hire if I ran a restaurant! She represented herself, the restaurant and the kitchen with professional class and friendliness. (And I regret that I forget her name - but she more than earned her tip!) The room? It was comfortable and very sufficient for our needs. And the bed: I booked this hotel for reviews of the hotel's beds, as my wife doesn't usually sleep well on any hotel bed. Not Paradox: she slept very well and very comfortably. ("Maybe WE should get a bed like this one??" she commented.)

What an unexpected surprise! The pool area is lovely. I felt very spoiled with pool side service and had drinks and dinner while lounging in the cute cabana areas they have. The room was very clean and inviting and the bed are VERY comfortable! I didn't want to leave! They are also pet friendly, so I may bring my dog next time.

We were there for 3 nights and not once was the room cleaned or at least the trash taken out. We called to inquire and we were told housekeeping was not working that day, then that housekeeping is only sent after a three night stay. The pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable.

The room was nice and spacious. Location was excellent and the hotel facilities are beautiful.

Room was dark. Couldn't open window for fresh air. Couldn't open drapes without losing privacy. Shower water temperature hard to regulate. Barn door to bathroom makes a lot of noise when you open/close, wakes up partner at night.

Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Lobby, pool, hot tub areas all great!

The staff did not make our room the next day until we told them. We asked for toothbrushes which they said they will send to the room but never did. We had to get them the next morning. The pillows are a bit too bulky.

There was some misunderstanding regarding the payment of breakfast. Booking offered breakfast, which is included in the price, but the bill was presented on the spot. In the end, the good young man at the counter realized that there had been some confusion and still did not take it into account. All good

There was a pretty big heated pool and a great bar area. They also had a hot tub. Food and cocktails were great. The room was big and the beds were very good.

Housekeeping was good but we had to beg for replacements for toilet paper and tissue paper, they seemed very stingy with them but brought fresh towels and bedding regularly

It’s a decent walk from the beach, but there’s lots of public parking available close to the beaches/cliff. $25/night parking was a bummer. I wasn’t aware of that prior to arriving. Maybe I missed that in the reservation process.

Groovy spot. Very comfy room. Unique, cleanly, with a great beach vibe. A great choice for a more “boutique” feel vs. cookie cutter hotel. I would stay here again

Have stayed at the Paradox several time .Nice hotel in a good location in Santa Cruz, we are fans. Rooms are very comfy and clean. Amenities are great, restaurant is also very good.

Sink drained very slowly. Corner was l paper was fraying. Hope maintenance and upkeep will be good
