Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThere is no dresser in the room.
This is an updated 1960s-era motel with more perks than most economical motels provide. Although, they don't provide breakfast, they had a kitchen-like area with a toaster, refrigerator, microwave, sink, coffee machine, and refrigerator. They offered free parking too. There is table for office work or dining in a fairly large, clean, and comfortable room.

HungaryThe weather was cold and the AC heated the room fast, but when you turned it off (as it was too hot when on), the room cooled really fast and the room was freezing at night
The location was really good, and the room was always clean and well equipped

United States of AmericaRefrigerator did not work - was on but not cool/cold. Paint peeling in bathroom. Pillows could be bigger and firmer. Heat was rather noisy.
Room was well sized. King bed, kitchenette with microwave, sink, and fridge, but it did not cool. Nice TV and overall room was a pleasant surprise.

JapanThe interior could use a brighter color scheme. On the other hand, the brown with gold patterns is impervious to stains, so I get it. One of the kitchen faucets needed a new washer. Wifi is free and usable, but be sure to use a VPN (turn on after connecting to WIFI) security.
Very quiet. Very clean, very helpful 24-hour service. Fries very safe and secure. Conveniently located, Only 30 minutes or less from LAX. If you're on a budget and traveling alone or as a couple, you can't beat Park Cienega Motel. No children! Note: Several motels have Cienega in their name. Park Cienega has a large blue sign. A few minutes walk across 18th Street are CVS pharmacy, a supermarket, and other shops. CVS has everything from reading glasses and sunglasses to beer, wine, and spirits. For freshly baked bread, turn right and then left on Pico. LODGE BREAD is just up Pico from the gasoline stand. You can eat there too, inside or outside. Recently renovated, but the interior color scheme lacks, well, color. Clean shower, relatively large refrigerator. Microwave, separate sink for meal prep. Coffee maker. Excellent hair dryer.

United States of AmericaNo carpet. Clean vinyl floors. New windows that slide and lock securely. New entry door with secure lock. Nice tiled shower and bathroom. Clean paint on walls. Small kitchen with micro, fridge, toaster and coffee maker. Clean bed cover. Good lighting and plenty of electrical outlets. Convenient free parking. I have stayed in many older motels in LA and most are run down. This is an exception. It's also close to where my appointments are.

Good room, nothing fancy but very well laid out with a small kitchen area. Even though the area was not fancy we felt very safe walking around. Parking was very good by room and a very full hotel.

United States of AmericaRoom was dark even with all lights on. Nothing to set suitcase on. Decor was dated. Neighborhood was edgy. Homeless encampment was right behind the motel. No problem with them, but it was a little worrisome at first.
Room and bath were very clean and functional, and daily cleaning service was provided which is not common these days. The bed was comfortable and all the amenities worked well. Convenient parking right outside room. Quiet at night. Liked refrigerator and microwave. Price was very reasonable and value was high.
