Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe hotel itself was a bit rundown and uncomfortable. The rooms were spacious but a lot of the space ended up being a hallway.
The value was great. Hotel is on a subway line.

MexicoI believe the price was somewhat high considering the area. Also, they could have included some cups or glasses since they already have a fridge and counters. We had to buy disposable ones. The air conditioner (which we didn't use, because it's autumn) kept making noises during the night.
The place was really clean and mostly quiet (except for the distant roar of the Subway tracks). I liked it was pretty big and illuminated. The location was great about a block and a half from a Subway station and several shops.

New ZealandBrooklyn ! The Area was very dirty, it’s a very Eclectic area . I would feel a little unsafe if on my own but the hotel itself was lovely. The price ! UN assembly was on so NYC very busy and expensive, this is the reason we stayed in this area because Manhatten out of our budget
Very close to D line and station into Manhatten - about 2 min walk to station but ride into manhatten would take min 35 mins and up to an hour at peak, although no train changes, straight to 42nd st staff on front desk very lovely and helpful , they let us park our bike for a night just off the main entrance , super helpful! Breakfast was good with great selection

United KingdomThis is just a suggestion that it might be a good idea to offer paid laundry facilities for families staying longer. Self service option.
Staff at the reception were very welcoming especially the 5pm lady and the landlady. They were also our tour guides. Very helpful and they made our sightseeings very easy. The breakfast was amazing 5*, chef is very accommodating, a lot of healthy options available. Room service staff are also vvery helpful. Hotel very close to subway and shops.

United States of AmericaThe beds were too firm for me. Brooklyn is getting neglected again like it was in the 70s-80s: Trash all over the street. Very concerned that safety will be a problem soon as it was then. Those things go together in this city.
Breakfast was outstanding. Check in and check out was easy. This hotel is like being home. The rooms are huge, especially by NYC standards. The kosher food in the area was worth the trip by itself.

United KingdomBed a little hard for me, shower over bath rather than separate. Slightly shabby if this kind of thing bothers you, but very clean and well organised.
Right by the D subway in a residential area, felt very safe. Exceptional room with sitting room and kitchen. Reception staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Great to have breakfast included, most hotels in this class do not have one at all. Kosher - the local population includes a large orthodox Jewish community - but great scrambled egg and potatoes plus salads, pickles, fruit. Felt very ‘at home’. Tea coffee cookies ad lib by reception.

United States of AmericaRoom is very run down and outdated. Brown wood toned tape on baseboards but pealing. We had a kitchenette but no plates or silverware. Kitchen table glass top would tip if you leaned on it. Lamp shade was falling apart in living area. Furniture is beat up, outdated and sparse. I really disliked that they made a photo copy of my credit card front and back because things appeared to be all done by hand. The key was attached to a large, 6inches or more plactic thing and when you left you handed it back in to the desck until you needed it again beause it could not fit in my purse. The door to get in the room would stick and seemed to be rotted between the two peices of metal. No breakfast as advertized due we arrived on a Friday and left Sat and hotel owned or runned by Hasidic Jews who observe Shabbat. But it is not on their website, When we went out to get something to eat, which most places close early due to Shabbot we were met by a huge cockroach outside out hotel room door. We also had no water in the shower and no one to help us. In fact thier description of the place is beyond deceiving! This is from their website:The Park House Hotel offers luxuriously appointed suites and studios. The superb service and immaculate rooms set new standards in excellence. The Park House extends a warm welcome to its guests with coffee and tea always being served in its beautiful lobby.
The beds were comfortable thankfully. Bathroom seemed clean but no water for shower so we could not take one. We called the front desk but very freindly young woman didn't have a solution.
