Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaIf you are booking I would suggest choosing a room with a balcony, I think that is the charm of the hotel, I chose a room with a view of other rooms and the parking lot. For some reason, the AC wouldn't get colder but that might be a setting throughout the hotel. I would recommend bringing an iPad if you want to watch movies, the tv in the room was small.
The staff was friendly and the location was great. It was interesting staying at a historic hotel.

The staff was excellent , the balcony was lovely & the whole vibe was very Quaint, however it was a very noisy environment. There were trains going by a lot ( Sun rail as well as Amtrack) and in the room itself you could hear the TV in the next room loud & clear as well as the staff in the morning when they vacuumed, but it was a short stay so it wasn't that bad for us.

United States of AmericaBecause of the age of the building, the room was a little small. However, after asking, we were told some rooms are bigger.
The location was fantastic, and we loved the cute balcony overlooking a beautiful park, as well as the ambiance of the hundred year old building; it felt like a time capsule.

United States of AmericaThere is no public ice maker, had to ask for ice anytime we wanted it. Hotel is historic. Floors squeak and water pressure in shower is poor.
Balcony was our favorite part. Room was large, but very small bathroom. Staff was friendly.

United States of AmericaThe noise level was on the high side. Because this is a historical property the insulation isn’t super great and it is right next to the train tracks and a loud bar with music. However, when you check in, you can ask for a white noise machine, which helps a lot.
We love the historical charm of this property. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and when we checked in, they shared a lot of the original historical details and stories with us. She also upgraded us because we were celebrating a birthday.

United States of AmericaI had signed up and paid for two persons and one 8lb. Dog For personal reasons the other person with the dog did not come. Thank goodness they didn’t because that room was too small for 2. They told me upon check in that they changed my room. I thought that was unacceptable without talking to me first.

United States of AmericaThe coffee provided in the lobby for hotel guests was not good. The bathroom was substandard. The bathtub drained at a turtles pace. The TV in our room was not enjoyable to watch.
The historic nature and the charm of the facility made up for shortcomings that the experience may have included. The location is superb. Park Plaza Hotel is in the heart of historic downtown Winter Park, and an easy walk to all it has to offer. The balcony overllooked Central Park and the shops and eateries along Park Ave.

United States of AmericaTrade off of excellent location was the noise, even on the park side. Glad earplugs were provided, which I used! Ask for a white noise machine when you check in. They were out by midnight. The chipped brown paint on the bathroom door frame inside contributed to a shabby look. Just needs a refresher paint & steam cleaning. No way to spread out toiletries in such a small bathroom. The room could have had more congruent/ period-style art work. Balcony: Plants were the only separation between rooms on the balcony. I was VERY glad that smoking neighbors were not there when I was out. Surprised (& initially alarmed) to see squirrels scamper so closely to me. I did not feed them. The hotel needs a sign or notice at reception about this. Coffee in lobby was ok. Would be nice to be able to get a pastry there, vs. down the street.
Room: The tiger rug, French Doors opening to the balcony, ferns & palms added to the elegance. Enjoyed having my beverages on the balcony. Felt like another world! My bed slept well. Personnel: Very friendly & helpful. Location: Superb! Felt very safe walking from one end of Park St. to the other.

United States of AmericaI was sad to not have the continental breakfast that was mentioned in one of the welcome letters. They had stopped it a year ago. It might be time to lose the tv cabinets and go flatscreen on the wall. It was awkward and made the room a bit too cluttered. More hooks in the room and doors.
Location, ambiance, the lobby, the comfy bed and sheets. Thank you for having AC. Loved the balcony and garden hanging there. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Near all the great restaurants and walking distance to the boat tour and Morse museum—which is one of the best museums I’ve been to.
