Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room was a little bit small.
So friendly, and a great location. The wine social hour was a nice bonus, and the bartender was really friendly and welcoming.

Absolutely nothing!
The lodge was a perfect mix of modern decor and mountain lodge vibe. The staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. Attention was paid to every detail in the rooms, the lounge, the office/lobby. They even had free EV charging (which I used for my hybrid).

Rooms outdoors, was cold walking to pool. No breakfast and items for sale very limited . Shower pressure very low.

The bed was little soft for my taste but not bad.
Very nicely renovated hotel within walking distance to Lake Tahoe. The location is also convenient to many of the area's outdoor activities - skiing, hiking, biking, etc. The rooms are stylish, clean and comfortable, and the staff is friendly and professional. The lobby includes some food to go and drinks, which was convenient when coming back from a day of skiing, and they have a wine happy hour every day as well. Great place that we will stay in again!

We have stayed in two rooms and while the mattresses are comfortable, both have leaned to one side. Rotate the mattress once in awhile? Also, I get the coffee bag thing but make sure there is enough bags. We had one regular and two decaf. Minor things but easy to fix
Nice clean room. Easy check in/out process. Appreciated the glass of wine in the pretty lobby.

Nothing - it was fantastic from start to finish.
Everything was SO delightful. The room was beautiful, well-designed, and somehow both cozy and spacious. The texting communication was so helpful and convenient and Aida really went out of her way multiple times to help us have a wonderful quick getaway to Tahoe! We really can't recommend this part of the lake more either - it was convenient to great restaurants for dinner & brunch (Fumo! Sage Leaf!) and just 5-10 min drive to pulloff areas to see views of the lake that were just unbeatable.

The beds were uneven and settled on areas closer to bedside table— felt like I was sleeping in a valley.
The amenities were gorgeous. The location, staff, cleanliness were all exceptional.

The Incline Lodge is very tastefully decorated with an amazing staff. Both guest experience managers were super friendly and helpful. The GM was also on site and very congenial and hospitable. The rooms were cozy and clean - we slept well. I am recommending this hotel to friends and family.

This lodge was surprisingly more than 1 expected. The staff was really nice and welcoming, our room was with two queen beds and balcony, the room was absolutely clean upon arrival, the complimentary coffee and tea bags were really good, and I would say a nice touch from them. We enjoyed the heated indoor pool, the lounge they have is really beautiful. Overall, the interior design of the The whole lodge is from a really exquisite taste. We ended up staying 1 extra night, and we loved it! Big shout out to Aida, who was always so nice and helpful.

For some reason I didn’t receive housekeeping service - no refill on coffee or tea in the room. Also, there was a complimentary glass of wine they refuse to give me because the staff mixed up their hours. When i showed them the message that confirmed I was there at the correct time, the staff told me it must have been a typo with out communicating with their members to confirm.
The room was tastefully designed and spacious. Very comfortable beds and nice linens. The woman at the lobby were very friendly and pleasant. For how nice the bathrooms were I expected higher quality soaps and shampoos. They weren’t bad, but boutique or locals soaps would be nice. Good instant coffee and teas

Beds were so uncomfortable! Had a very lousy night sleep. Pool was freezing.
