We booked through Guest Reservations portal and missed the high fees, probably resort-like fees for the pool and activity amenities which weren't important for us.

We appreciated getting an exterior room with outside entrance to be away from noisy indoor pool/play/dining area (great for families!). Breakfast was good too. Very nice and informative staff at check-in. Loved being able to walk downtown and to the nearby (longer walk for some) ballpark for a youth tournament. Good lighting and many windows for natural light in room.

The bathrooms have low ceilings.

The set up is great. We were on the top floor so no one was loud above us. The atrium as they call it was awesome. The arcade, pool, and sitting areas were amazing. We would definitely go back. It was also a close walk to downtown, and the river is just right outside. Very nice location.

We loved the atrium area and being able to walk out of our rooms and be right there. The pool was our favorite! Loved having a restaurant right there so we didn't have to leave for anything.

Although the hotel was mostly what we were looking for, it is an older property with little sound proofing between rooms. One night, we had to call the office/security as it was almost 1am on a week night and one of the rooms next to us had their tv blaring. It was so loud, none of us could sleep. The security personal with whom I spoke did not seem to want to deal with it, saying, "I can't just go room to room to find out where the noise is coming from..." ... to which I answered, "Should I do it then? Because none of us can sleep." I was under the impression that this was the actual job of security - to take care of issues and disturbances on the property without the guests having to coerce them into such. Eventually it was looked into but I think the sharing of bathroom vents and other internal outdated designs definitely contributed to the problem.

The manager was incredibly nice. The room was what we expected and the amenities were advertised accurately. The location is right downtown with plenty of free parking. It's right alongside a river and the area was quiet and felt safe.

It's a bit dark on the outside but that's the area. Across the street / next door is the river & while it's not a grand sight, it was nice having all the sidewalks and benches and pavilions around to take a walk. The stairwells are pretty narrow but that's just me nitpicking, if I have to. Oh, there's only 1 elevator but much of the property is on a hill and has various 'ground levels'. Not a complaint but it may deter some.

The location is on the N end of town, right down the road from the hospital & a block from the downtown area. With the help of Maps, I was able to locate the hotel with no issues, at night. The night check-in lady was supremely kind & helpful, and in the morning, the complimentary breakfast was perfect. The premises is an older hotel but they have taken good measures to maintain it & keep it clean. It felt very nostalgic. The inside pool/rec area was a delight & very inviting. We didn't use any of the amenities, but we walked around & explored. It was mid-week and slow, so many rooms were empty but I absolutely loved the fact that they leave the lights & TV on w the window curtains open. It's just inviting & makes one feel safe. I would definitely stay again and/or recommend this hotel to family & Friends.

The TV speakers were acting like it was under water or blown. Then the fire alarm in the room went off while I was sleeping, and immediately afterwards, the TV screen goes black and starts to sound off all crazy

Just this old style of really entertaining your kids. Wasn't on a family trip but you could tell every kid that was there was taking advantage of the old school entertainment center of the hotel. The breakfast staff were excellent, clean and keeping breakfast supplied.

It was supposed to be a Queen sized bed, but was full sized. My husband and I sleep on a Queen bed every night. Those beds were not. Also the toilet was low. I am 5'4" and when I sat down, my behind was lower than my knees. Being older with bad knees it was difficult to get up and down .

I did not like how one of the doors was broken and it’s kind of confusing to get to my room . I did not like how the room did not have a microwave.

I liked the activities in the atrium very family friendly and welcoming for kiddos. The staff was super friendly and helpful from front desk to housekeepers who helped me when I was lost.
