Would have been convenient to have a microwave or fridge in room, but I get it. With those features accessible downstairs it gave a vintage kinda feel. So it was not too awful. ☺️ The biggest thing we disliked was being local to the Amtrak railway . At night and early morning, the Amtrak trains passed through honking their horns which was pretty annoying . There was only one extremely small waste bin inside the restroom. We recommend bringing some trash bags for your waste and definitely some big drinking water jugs so you won't have to go downstairs a lot for water.

Definitely get the room with the spa bath. Lol. Each room is named after a beach off the California coast. We were in one of the rooms with the spa bath called La Jolla. The room had vaulted circular ceiling with a reading nook and fireplace. It was a pretty big room for the money and clean. We loved the vintage furniture and decor, including the beauty station by the bathroom. The lobby downstairs was a nice addition to get coffee and treats and to fill up with water. The whole experience was different due to lack of a kitchen or kitchenette, but reminded us of the kind of hotel experience someone would have had from the early 1900's btw, there was a nice self-lighting fireplace inside the room we used. The location is only a few blocks from the beach, in a very quiet neighborhood where a noise ordinance is strictly enforced between a certain time of night. The site manager Tori was very responsive and respectful, and very accommodating concerning early arrival and change in stays . FREE UNASSIGNED PARK😆 There was even an EV charging station.

Beautiful place to stay, clean and quiet, lovely designed, every room is special. Easy walk to Carlsbad Village and the beach. It was a big surprise how relaxed everything and everyone is around here, we extended for another night, very much recommended! It is a self-service self-checkin with no reception but this worked so easy- much better than some overstaffed hotels. A bit like a cottage.

The location is killer and the room was so cozy, with a fantastic shower and a working fireplace! And comfy beds!! Cleanliness was top notch and check-in was all electronic - just the way I like it :) I will be back for sure!

they offered fridge and microwave which i was fortunate enough to be super close to, but i prefer to have my own in the room specially when i have my kids.

clean,simple,close to so many stores, and specially the beach…hot tub is amazing! my kids was thrilled.except they train sound, its quiet for the nost part. ❤️

The room was comfortable only it had an antiseptic smell that was not pleasant. We had brought our own linen so we used it instead.

Very convenient, we had to leave our home for fumigation and this was very convenient for us.

Better or more blankets for the queen sofa bed. Asked for and got a top sheet for the queen bed as thought it unsanitary to be under a spread with no top sheet that is used by hundreds of people. Minor stuff that could easily be fixed. I would also suggest they put a grab bar by the bathtub -- little slippery getting out of the tub for older people!

Outstanding location. The room was as pictured. The staff responsive to questions/needed some help. Would book again.

It was spacious, very clean, comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The neighborhood was quiet. Plenty of parking. Previous reviews mentioned things the Inn doesn’t have like a microwave, refrigerator, iron, ironing board. They have all of these things available, plus beach towels and chairs and boogey boards. There’s chairs to lounge on the porch. There’s an amazing fireplace in the room even. I’d add more pictures but it only allows 4.
