Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

We loved everything about our stay. Staff were exceptional, room had plenty of space, fire place was a fabulous addition, bed was comfy, shower was great. The bathroom floor was on a lean enough to feel it sitting on the toilet however it is a very old building. Breakfast was fantastic and the location was excellent.

GermanyThe breakfast as well as the free sodas and the „wine and nibbles“ are nice to have but they were a bit underwhelming. The breakfast is definitely good enough to start the day - but we skipped it on most days.
The location is great for exploring the city - especially china town and north beach. The room was beautiful and very calm. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

United States of AmericaThe room was extremely comfortable, and the staff was helpful and considerate. The happy hour wine and cheese was an extra touch that made us feel really welcomed. Both in Petite Auberge and its sister hotel have really nice common lounge areas. It is extremely well-located if you need to be around Union Square.

United KingdomMy only comment would be that I would have liked a safe in the room.
We were moved into the White Swan, the sister hotel next door as the room we had a minor issue that wasn’t able to be sorted immediately. The staff were beyond understanding and moved us quickly without hesitation which was hugely appreciated after a long flight. The room was huge with a fireplace and incredibly comfortable bed. Location wise both hotels are great. On a safe street within walking distance to everything. Gorgeous pizza restaurant next door and a few shops and bars on that road too. Breakfast in the hotel was good, not varied daily or a huge choice but perfect for what we needed. Staff very sweet and friendly. Rooms clean and the hotel was quiet.

TaiwanWhen the other guests use the washroom, the sound in the pipe can be heard. But we usually wake up early so the sounds usually comes on when we are getting ready.
Location was superb. Really enjoy the fireplace in the room as it is very cozy, especially at night

SwedenIt would be useful to have a safe in the room.
The room was quiet (Sunday night) and very comfortable and well equipped, feeling super-cosy with its fireplace and with a nice bathroom stocked with all necessary toiletries. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a writing desk in the room. Even though I missed the happy hour, I still got a nice glass of pinot noir upon arrival. There is a cosy lounge area downstairs with free tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, as well as water and soft drinks. Breakfast (in the sister White Swan hotel) was good, with cereal, toast, yoghurt, boiled eggs, etc. as well as juice and coffee. Staff were helpful.

United States of AmericaThe room. I don’t recall the number but it was right around the corner from the check in. The shower shades wouldn’t stay closed. It just did not provide the comfort level that the rest of the hotel did.
I believe his name was Leon and he made my stay at this charming hotel exceptional. The outdoor spaces were lovely. The lounge areas so comfy. I loved the artwork. I’m sure I had the smallest room in the hotel and there were a number of issues , broken blinds etc. But Leon was the guy who went above and beyond. His customer service and professional attitude is something to notice and admire! I would stay at this hotel again but would prefer a different room!

United States of AmericaAt one point during the night, some noisy guests came in and it was disturbing, but thankfully it didn't last long. The only other negative was during the night, the noise of water running behind the wall (it was very weird) woke me up and kept me awake for a couple of hours. I don't know if there's a drain right outside the room or a drain runs in between the walls, but it was disturbing and got louder and louder. We were in room 46 in the back.
Hotel was charming and the staff was friendly and nice! We liked our room a lot and found it in a great location, in the back of the hotel and mostly quiet except for the negatives that I wrote below.

United KingdomThe website should indicate that this is not an accessible hotel for guests with mobility issues - there are a number of stairs at the entrance.
I liked that it was a quaint, cozy, 'old school' home away from home feel. The lounge on the lower floor was also cozy and a nice place to do a bit of work. Breakfast was perfect.
