We had a great time in this hotel. Initially we got assigned a room with a single window facing the wall. There also was a problem with a window — it wasn’t fully closing and there was a noticeable draft. I walked back to the front desk to ask if we could be moved to another room (and was happy to pay for an upgrade if nothing was available) and Fifi has kindly helped us, she found the room for the same rate which had windows facing the street. The room was next to an elevator which wasn’t a problem for us. Fifi’s support made this a really positive experience for us, we had a great time, and I can’t explain how thankful we are. Thank you, Fifi! Location is pretty good (walkable to US Capitol, Supreme Court, Library of Congress). There’s a train station nearby. Beds were rather comfy, a bit on the softer side. There was a coffee machine which makes a rather decent hot chocolate on the second floor. I also used their laundry for a quick wash and it was really quick and efficient.

The hotel price is steep. It's a beautiful place in the middle of the city, but I still felt like there were more affordable options with similar amenities.

Loved our room. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was amazing. We loved the complimentary tea and hot chocolate. We really loved dinner at the restaurant at the Irish pub. The band was awesome and we had a lot of fun. Breakfast was great, too. The proximity to Union Station was so nice and easy, as well!

Nothing thought it was a great place

Lovely room little on the small side but great for the three days we were there for. The staff were so personable and made you feel welcome from the moment you stepped through the door. Rather than being in the room there was a coffee and tea lounge in the second floor .. just stop off get your drink and carry on up to bed it worked well and meant you never ran out of your preffered tea/ coffee/ milk etc. The hotel was minutes from the Washington capitol and the start of the mall and by the train station for those using the train to get to Washington.

Location was great. The bar onto the hotel was very nice also with a nice outdoor seating area. Rooms were very comfortable including a lovely spacious bed.

Restaurant appears to be understaffed at breakfast time. We arrived for breakfast about 8am on the first day of our stay, and found only two servers on duty for a full house. It took 5 minutes to get a menu, we ordered coffee, but when the coffee had not arrived after 10 minutes we decided to look for breakfast elsewhere.

Location is excellent for people arriving in Washington by rail. Check-in was fast and efficient. Room was comfortable and clean. Nice amenities in the bathroom.

I wish they had a microwave in the room. My grandson eats popcorn every night and he only likes microwave popcorn.

Location - opposite Union station and walkable to Capitol, also close to circulator bus stop. Free tea/coffee/water station on 2nd floor. Nice irish pub downstairs.Big king size bed in room. Room was clean.

Walkable location to most things, but not super close. Surprisingly good pub restaurant. The staff was very friendly. The coffee station on the second floor was a nice touch.

We had a corner room and there was a lot of sirens throughout the night.

The location was great and we really liked the sitting area and coffee on floor 2.

There is a coffee and water station on the 2nd floor (which is overall great to have) to use free of charge, but the water taste and smells was just bad. Having it left for a night in the bottle, was simply not drinkable in the morning.

Location was great - near a circulator bus stop, decent walk to Capitol building, the National Mall and museums. Room was comfortable and spacious, with mini fridge and king size bed. Coffee and tea lounge was elegant and well stocked. There's also a microwave and water station there too (which I didn't use).

Nothing. One comment though: $5 for a bottle of water in the room? Not a good look.

Greeted by helpful staff. Exceptionally clean, with modern upgrades to an historic. Coffee and teas are always available. Attached to a bar/lounge. to grab a bite without going far. Walkable to Amtrak train station and the Capitol and other points of interest.
