Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room was outdated, the bathroom door did not close all the way, and the couch bed you could not even let all the way out because it hit the wall.

Door didn't seal. Was not like the pictures. Needs updates. Wasn't as clean as I prefer. Really needs updates for the money we paid. Staff was friendly.

Everyone was friendly but it was really obvious people had smoked a lot of pot in our room. The a/c was broken in both rooms so made it hard to make it cool enough to be comfortable. The place us definitely budget accommodation. Needs a serious upgrade if they want to impress but for the price it was decent and felt safe
The staff were presumably a husband and wife duo. They didn't speak much English but were polite and helpful. Our rooms wouldn't unlock at first and they were quick to help us fix our keys and get more sheets for the sofa bed.

Seemed like there were alot of long stay visitors, there was an area around the side of the hotel filled with old mattresses, desks, broken glass. Was hard to avoid when trying to find a grassy area to let your dog go to the bathroom. As a solo traveler the area did not seem very safe, but I was just careful and trusted my gut.
Room was easy to get too, very great location, pet friendly with the individuals entrances. As a solo traveler it may be sketchy for some people, but everyone I ran into was very friendly, but I didn't let me guard down.

Floor needs swept while we stayed the 3 days and sheets could have been changed again in my opinion And water could have a hotter. Other than that it was pretty good.

The staff made no effort in any kind of conversation, the towels all had stains on them. The ceiling was coming down over the shower. Absolutely no water pressure. But it was only $117 for a night. It could be a good hotel just needs alot of love

Room is spacious and tidy except for the sofa bed that was gross. It was old and felt like it was never cleaned. You can see and feel the thick dirt in the arm rests. We have to cover the whole thing with a blanket so we can sit in it. There was no breakfast nor cafeteria. I didn't even see any vending machine. The swimming pool is not working. Though we don't plan to wash our clothes until we get home since we brought enough, there was no laundry area. My niece and I went to the office to ask something about the area like best place to eat or shop, and if we can get additiinal pillow, nobody was in there to assist us. We waited couple of minutes and called out, nothing. I couldn't find any ring bell in the counter either.The only time we saw the staff is when we checked in.
Location is good. It's close to everything and just 15 min drive to Gatlinburg. The surrounding area felt safe, too. The room is clean and tidy. Bathroom is, too.
