The towels for the hot tub could be improved, as you need to use your bath towels, leaving you short for the next shower.

It is walkable to downtown and the beach. Enjoyed the hot tub and sitting areas. We used the grill for dinner one night. It was super clean. It had everything we needed.

The Murphy bed in the studio unit is a little difficult to get in and out of because it sits so low to the ground and ends up too close to the TV stand making it a little difficult to maneuver around. Everything else was great.

Pine Acres Lodge is in a quiet area, close to the Historic part of Monterey. We loved being able to cook our own meals after being out exploring the area during the day. Our unit was great, parking right outside. We had a lovely deck out the back which we enjoyed using. Reception staff were great and offered helpful information about where to find supermarkets.

The pull down king-size Murphy Bed although comfortable, occupied much space in the compact studio room, making walking around challenging. The TV should have at least some basic news channels like CNN, some movie channels. Having only product channels, and reruns of Green Acres, Three Stooges and other 60's shows was not a particularly good offering, especially given the relatively high room rate.

Location in Pacific Grove, four blocks from the sea, six blocks from downtown. Quiet surroundings. Specified parking near unit. Comfortable bed and linens.

The apartment was perfectly sized and furnished for the three of us. The hosts were generous, accommodating, and communicative. Nice private parking lot was very convenient. Gorgeous area, and only a few blocks from the shore; incredible value considering the zip code.

We had a wonderful stay at Pine Acres Lodge. Ideal location to visit downtown or enjoy walks on the coast. We felt very comfortable, kitchen has everything you need and beyond. Too bad we forgot our bathing suits to enjoy the jacuzzi!

The bed was a bit soft for us but we managed.

Clean, fresh, fully stocked to take on anyone who may not want to eat out every day. We took advantage of the kitchen and enjoyed our breakfasts and a dinner there. We will be back!

The smell of cleaning chemical they used was overwhelming at arrival. Though, we left the doors opened on both sides of the room for couple hours. Still the chemical odor didn't eliminated.

I realize the disinfectant cleaning system for all public places to stay is a standard but I do wish a window had been opened before I arrived so it wasn't so strong. My luggage and spare garments smelled like the disinfectant when I got home so had to wash everything. I opened all of the windows all the time except for nighttime because it was a bit chilly.

For an established neighborhood, the recent update and amenities were done very well. Some nearby places that I've stayed were 'just ok' compared to P.A.L.. Also, the room was immaculate! Not even so much as a spider web (not that I looked, though). The little heater was surprisingly very effective in heating the room very quickly! I hope to use the kitchen next time as eating out can be expensive. Wonderful location, very nice and friendly staff. Check in was quick and easy.

beautiful setting. easy parking and access loved the hot tub. great amenities and while there was no oven there was an adequate fridge and stove top. plenty of cookware. nice bathroom. shower was small but nice. murphy bed!

It would have been nice to have had a vegetable peeler in the otherwise well-stocked kitchenette. Also a salt and pepper shaker or salt and pepper packets (there were sugar and sweetener packets). The gas "fireplace" was underwhelming--even with the lights off, you could barely see the flame. But that was only disappointing because there WAS a fireplace. Had it not been there, we wouldn't have missed it.

Everything about the room! It was clean, comfortable, spacious, very quiet, in a convenient location, and met all our needs. We would definitely return.

I did not realize there was a hot tub at the property. If I’d known I would have packed my swimsuit.
