Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The bathrooms were really small, sheets had spots of discoloration, bath tub in guess bathroom felt like it was falling in, had a hard time getting into the property because there was a lockbox hanging on the fence next to the door,so we're trying to open the lockbox with the code we were giving. It turns out that the door had a computerized type of lock on it that we entered the code on and was able to get in, after an hour of trying to open the lockbox hanging on the fence and trying to call the host, which never text or called me back. It felt like someone's permanent address, but they rent it out to others as they lock themselves up in a room downstairs. Just didn't have a good vibe. This is the first time I've stayed in a property that I didn't feel comfortable.
It was 3 bedrooms and very convenient to the venue we were visiting

Maybe a fire pit or something
The patio is a perfect area for enjoying family outside . The kitchen and rooms are beautiful. Family oriented.

I wish there had been a guide or instructions on what and what not to do, especially at checkout. I really felt that I was having to be extra careful, and when we left i wasn't sure we were meeting the owner's expectations. I've never rented a house before, so I wasn't sure if I was "doing it right".
It was easy to get to and on a quiet residential street. The house was clean and neat, fully furnished and ready to go. It was also by far the best priced way to stay for the weekend. Thank you for a great stay!

Nothing. Everything was perfect.
Everything about this house was great. The convenience to and from the job site we were working at, to the feel of home at night. I would hope to be fortunate enough to reserve it in the future. Thank you to the owners for providing such a lovely home.

the heat wasn’t very good. it would get super cold and wouldn’t warm up almost at all. I think there was just a system error.
the setup and just overall coziness. the backyard was great because my daughter was able to just run around freely.

not sure why some of the Xmas decorations where still out so it made me want to take a closer look on how clean it really was!!!! to my surprise it was very clean.

There was no washer/dryer accessibility...but the host provided nearby laundry facilities

The home has roaches, the owner lives downstairs blares music smokes weed and cigarettes inside so the entire house fills with the odor and having my kids there...highly unprofessional on the homeowners part! Not what you expect when you rent a house for the weekend.

Heat inside would heat even after reaching out to the house host on the matter it didn't work, so the morning of checking out the house was very cold. Another issue was I was not alone in the home. There were other guests who rented the bottom half of the house which took me by total surprise 😮 overall it was very clean and comfortable I was given grace upon checking in which definitely was a plus
