The atmosphere was very southern plantation. The grounds were well kept with lots of huge old trees, and the house was beautiful. We were not in the house but in one of the cabins, and it was charming. I would recommend this place

it’s a 15 minute walk to downtown but there are plenty of good restaurants there.

Noise! Besides being located by a fire station (in a busy inner city), and having loud engine sirens all day and night, we weren't informed the covered pavilion right behind the cottage we stayed in was was also a wedding venue. When we got back fro dinner downtown, we followed the noise and squeezed through the entire block of parked cars. Their dj played as loud as if it were a club until well after 10pm. Other guests further away, and who were kept awake said they could only imagine how loud it was being adjacent. Should be a time limit for wedding reception. Neighborhood shift workers, parents of small children or the elderly probably hate it as well.

The historic ambiance of the house was great, and the cottage we stayed in clean and comfortable. The breakfast, fair.

Wonderful room and a very interesting house. The gentleman who assisted our late arrival gave us a great recommendation for a local restaurant (The Bon Temps Grill). Breakfast was excellent. We had a very satisfying stay.

Misleading images, poor welcome. Breakfast was basic, room ok, but decor tiered and spartan.

John was star of the visit. The images of the property made it look like a potentially magnificent stay, however the reality was different. Location ok.

we had a problem with the shower (no hot water after 3 minuts), we call the manager ravi who’s answer was…i cannot do nothing,just wait 20 minuts and try again. ofcourse after 20 minuts nothing happen. we had 2 bed’s in the studio,and it was impossible to stay at the main room since the window does not close and we can feel the breeze enter on our heads. for the price i was expecting more,but in overall is a good experience

Loved the antiques. However, the chair was badly stained, and the bathroom door was difficult to close. Lafayette experienced record lows, and the heater was too small to heat the entire unit. One room was chilly, and the bathroom and kitchen were freezing because we had closed the doors to help keep the heat in the bedrooms. Not a deal breaker! They provided extra blankets.

Delicious breakfast, comfortable bed. The staff was so kind. Check in and out was very easy. The location was good for our needs. I would definitely stay here again.

The only shortfall was that we didnt have enough fresh towels evwn after calling and asking. It could’ve been because we were a group of three and not two. But we did registere as three people. Maybe the number of people was just overlooked.

We loved the family room that gave us room to visit privately. The breakfast was wonderful. The lication was ideal and the staff was helpful.

It is loud and our rooms had no soundproofing whatsoever. A lot of traffic, the train, guests getting up in the apartment above us in the early morning, guests sitting outside our window talking - we heard everything, unfortunately.

Charming place, beautiful garden and terrace, wonderful staff. Everyone was so friendly, we felt very welcome. The breakfast was great.
