Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaBreakfast was pricey, buffet was 20. Wish there was an option for a complimentary breakfast, especially for the price you pay. My refrigerator temperature was also off and had to throw out some food.
Was very clean, staff was attentive, love the history, location ideal.

SwitzerlandThe room was ok, but not great - relatively small for a hotel of this standard, and old in a less charming way than the building and the decor. But it was clean and did the job for two nights.
Unique hotel with a lot of history, old in an interesting and charming way. The bar/restaurant is pretty decent, and the location in downtown Baltimore is very convenient for a short visit to the city. Parking available nearby at a reasonable daily rate (they also have valet parking if you want to pay a bit more).

United States of AmericaThere were two gripes I want to share: 1. The windows in the room could have used a good cleaning, especially on the outside. We were eight floors up so we had some view of the city but it was seriously marred by the dirty window panes; 2. Of the three food venues on the property, we had contact with two. We had one evening meal, two buffet breakfasts, and afternoon drinks with finger food after the graduation in the LB Tavern. The problem with the evening meal and afternoon drinks was the serious lack of sufficient staffing to take customer orders and serve the food/drinks. The one or two staffers on duty were friendly enough but you waited f-o-r-e-v-e-r to get your order. The buffet was better because you served yourself but one day I chose the chicken sausages over the bacon, really tasty bacon, and they were half cold. Blah. Fortunately, you could go back and choose the alternative, i.e., the BACON!!! The other food venue was the LB Bakery on the lower level described as a "grab and go". From what I read before we arrived, I thought this was the only option for eating breakfast on the premises. So, the first morning we got on line which stretched outside the doorway and waited and waited. People may have been grabbing inside but any forward movement stopped there. As we stood there, a waiter from the LB Tavern came by with a tray of scrambled eggs and informed the line that the Tavern was serving a buffet breakfast. Didn't have to tell us twice.
The No. 1 LIKE was the fact that we came to Baltimore for a graduation that was held in the CFG Arena one block away from the hotel. Couldn't have been closer especially considering the overcast / rainy weather. Also, the hotel had old world bones. It was solidly built. You didn't hear anything through the walls. The staff was unfailingly friendly and helpful. We arrived after the 3PM check in time only to find our room still being made up when we got to it after checking in. The maid couldn't have been more shocked., Seeing us, she ran out and then ran back in with three other maids in tow. It was absolutely amazing to see how fast those maids had the two beds made up. A male then appeared to vacuum the rug. And, to top it off, a supervisor was on hand to apologize for the delay and even offer us a different room. Overall, the hotel was a pleasant enough place to stay despite its age.

United States of AmericaThe valet workers weren't attentive to us. They had a lot of smiles for the white patrons but we were ignored. We had to chase them down and wait in the rain. Ridiculous.
The front desk associates were fabulous! We needed the AC adjusted and the serviceman was pleasant.

United States of AmericaAfter arriving at 4pm and waiting an hour and half we were late to our concert that started at 5:30pm. In this time while waiting I was sent to two different rooms that were occupied with other guest(1 room had other guest stuff, 2nd room had people in it when I opened the door). Then the front desk went to find a room and that room was also occupied. All the staff did was apologize.
The location of the hotel was great for the concert we went to. I saw 2 brides in the lobby.

United States of AmericaThe bathrooms were a little iffy in the room, but it does go with the historic appeal they are trying to give and it was clean, so I can not complain too much.
The Lord Baltimore Hotel had an abundance of things for us to do just at the hotel. From the bar/tavern, ghost tours, comedy shows, and the gym all right there. The food was delicious from the tavern, the gym was nice, the comedy show was cheap and fun just something to do. The ghost tours were cheap and mainly about the history of the hotel which was super cool to learn about. The rooms were nice, clean, etc. they offer valet parking, but the underground parking garage is right there and is what we chose to do which worked best for us, and was cheaper. The location was close to so much stuff as well which was nice.

United States of AmericaThe fixed shower head was very short. Im 5'6" and it was right above my scalp. If i was 5'8" it would have hit me in the head. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. The windows were locked in place. The ice machines weren't working, had to get ice at the bar.
The bed was comfortable, room and linens clean. Good water pressure.
