I knew by the price and location that it would not be a luxury accommodation, but the staff made every effort to ensure I was comfortable.

Walls and bathroom were dirty. The toilet didn't flush well. Loud noises from outside in the middle of the night.

I was nervous when I had to go back to my car because people were hanging around outside at 9pm. They were talking on the phone and smoking, but one guy was yelling at his wife and I was nervous being out there.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was quiet during the night.

The parking lot smelled of garbage (horribly). Beds were a little stiff/uncomfortable and creaky. Only 1 garbage in the room - one in the bathroom would be nice too. Outdoor noise, talking and traffic could be heard in the room easily.

Location was good, right on highway, easy to get to and depart from. Bare necessities in room. Low price in comparison to other local venues.

The sheets and towels were stained. We had the weirdest check in experience. A guy told us to go wait 20 minutes in our car cause there was no one at the reception (almost 6 pm) When we stayed in to wait, he finally decided to check us in. He told us booking had a problem and we had to cancel our non refundable, already paid, reservation so we can book (at a more expensive price.) We argued about 20-30 minutes to have our booking honored.

Not all electrical sockets worked. There was human hair on one of my hand towels. This was not my hair.

It's near a recycle company, so when it rains & the humidity is high, the smell is sickening. To get on Highway 1, alot of driving around side streets to find an a way to get on.

The place is right beside the highway. A very busy and loud highway. the AC unit when running, tend to drown out the highway noise. The doors are good at shutting out most of the road cacophony, but very hard to shut it all out Also as we arrived. we were greeted by the most intense thunder storm i have seen on this trip! I was looking for an ARC!!

probably the easiest place to find as it was right beside the highway. The staff, at first hesitant to help, did come back and helped us get the wi-fi going.

Our original room wasn't clean. They gave us a different room. No garbage can. Not enough towels for 3 people. One bed only had sheets no actual blanket, The beds have what sounds like sheet metal in-between the mattress and bed frame making noises every time you rolled over on bed. Left a day early because the beds were so uncomfortable and wasn't worth to stay another night. Oh and it's located in front of the local dump and recycling center ... So the smell is a little ridiculous.

The nearby restaurants and arcade activities / Salem were great and the hotel is close enough to not have to drive long distance. Good to just keep your bags in.

this one person working there was very rude. he was working Friday around 5-6 when i was trying to check in. also they lied about there being no age requirement for checkin. that’s what the man was very rude about. he refused to see my screenshot of the website saying there is no age requirement and yelled at me saying i was wrong the whole time. he was even made at my friends to for asking about it. This man was not helpful and needs to learn how to treat people with respect if he wants the place to have more and more people stay there. yelling at a 19 year old because of the mistake on their website is not right at all. also there was blood on the shower and cigarette burns on the sheets so that was not good to see

Noise and smell! While this isn't the Plaza's fault, all night long there was loud road construction and then the smell of tarring well into the wee hours.

The Plaza is an affordable option for visiting Salem in October.

Rooms were pretty shabby. AC was very loud, and there was no lamp-only the bright overhead light. I just kept the bathroom door ajar with the light on. Rooms could also use an overall "facelift" and cleaning of the upholstery wouldn't hurt. But you get what you pay for so I wasn't expecting much more.

Both nites I was there I was awakened in the middle of the nite with fighting, yelling, and swearing. Think it was the same couple, then banging and more yelling. At 6:30 am the second morning after a before 4 am screaming match they were at it again. Not a great room anyway even without that crap. There was a hole in the sheetrock in the main room, it was not dirty it just wasn't much!!!!0

Good lock on door is the best to be said.

Bed linen had crumbs (?) in it, loud traffic noise, smell from nearby trash collection center, no coffee machine.

Pleasant check-in, let me stay 30mn past check out ( but not 1hr!), fridge in room.
