Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI liked everything, but if I had to pick something, I wished the on-site bar was open during our stay.
The room was lovely; clean and spacious. I like the 1980s vibe! We loved the neighborhood; right on the river, walking distance to casinos. There are many restaurants, tap rooms and bars in the immediate neighborhood. The staff was helpful and the parking was free (which I didn't expect). We will be back!

Netherlands--
my my room was huge! the hotel has a very charming 90s vibe to it. parking included. the furnishings in the room would benefit from an update, but everything was clean and functional. there was a lot of storage in the room, so this felt like a great spot to spend a couple of days. I wish i had gotten in earlier to enjoy the indoor swimming pool, which looked nice. it's within walking distance to el dorado/silver legacy/circus circus casino complex, but just tucked away from the hustle and bustle so it's quiet and pleasant. would rebook again if I'm back in reno.

United States of AmericaThe on-site bar (Thirsty's) wasn't open during my stay. I was looking forward to a happy hour drink and relaxing on site.
Staff was very responsive to a non-working TV in the room. Availability of on site parking.

United States of AmericaThe resort was great. It was clean, quiet, no cigarettes. The bed was super comfortable. Easy to control temperature. The staff was very friendly and accommodating with some special needs we had. The parking garage is gated and they close at 8 pm. Guests have an opener to get in and out. The room rates were very good. The lobby gives Disney haunted mansion vibes. I can’t find one bad thing to say about The Plaza Resort. Would stay there again without question.

United States of AmericaDue to the 1980s layout, power outlets are not as plentiful and conveniently accessible as you might like.
You are either going to love this hotel, or not. I fall to the first category - I really enjoyed my stay! As I stepped into the lobby on arrival and stepping into my spacious room I felt transported back to the 1980s. The attention to 1980s detail was remarkable - the oak furniture, soft furnishings, popcorn ceiling, carpet color and pattern, floor tile color and motif, mirrored sliding closet doors, brass lamp-stand, wall art, frosted shower doors, etc. Everything was clean and in excellent working order. The bed was big and comfortable. The airconditioning was silent and effective. Views from my 16th floor room were spectacular, despite a neighboring high rise. The staff were friendly and helpful. This time capsule experience was a very welcome reminder of a bygone era and a refreshing alternative to modern accommodation alternatives void of any personality. The hotel is conveniently located and gives excellent access to the river walk promenade. Lots of restaurants and entertainment within a short walking distance.

The location was great. It was close to The Row we walked there. The staff were all great. The 7th floor is where everything is - The pool, the lounge/bar, a dining room with plenty of tables, the pool table, gym, ant the sun deck.

United States of AmericaNeeds updating. Lots of art and antiques or at least vintage pieces which could be repurposed in a reimagined design. One elevator was flat out scary but we survived.
Location, room size, comfort, friendly helpful staff, easy parking in the attached garage, walkable to restaurants and casinos, nice open territorial and casino light views. Rooftop deck.

United States of AmericaThe only disappointment were the breakfast offerings at the hotel's "cafe" (Thirsty's).
We had a Deluxe King Room (non-smoking) on the 14th floor with a huge window - floor to ceiling and wall to wall - with a beautiful view. The building and the individual rooms have been well-maintained and updated over the years so everything is in excellent condition (well, except for one elevator that rumbles a lot) and very comfortable. The location is perfect for walking everywhere in town and along the river (head west along the river - it gets beautiful). We didn't use our car at all until we left.

Friendly service, spacious room, quiet. Good temperature control. Parking included and conveniently (enough) located next door to the hotel entrance. Location is right in downtown Reno, which was giving a bit of an eerily abandoned vibe on Monday night.
