The hotel is need of some updating. We were glad to see they have some improvements planned, such as carpeting and lighting. While the hotel is listed as beachfront, the main building where we stayed is not actually on the beach. The walk to the beach is short but I felt it was a little misleading. They do have other buildings that are on the beach. In order to get beach chairs, etc., you must wear a wristband provided at check-in. These are not designed to be taken off and on, which is understandable, but the idea of wearing it to shower and sleep was not appealing. One of the biggest disappointments for us was that the winds were too strong for the beach umbrellas to be up. And they couldn't put them up at the pool either. My husband and I need the shade or we burn. I know the hotel can't control the wind but we could not find a shady place to relax and enjoy the beach.

The room was comfortable and the hotel is pretty cute. We ate one meal at the restaurant by the pool and it was good. Had coffee at the coffee shop and were happy with what we received. The staff were pleasant. We had to leave a day early because of illness and the hotel refunded that night's stay. That was greatly appreciated!

Oceanfront room should have a coffee maker. We brought our own but it would have been nice if we didn’t have to bring one.

Kind of off the beaten path, fairly quiet with mixed crowd of old, young, families. Although so rowdy folks but all in all, you could sleep at night without being disturbed too much.

The prices at Backflips were way too high. They seemed to set their own prices and went up every time we went back. We went there less and less as the week went on. $23.50 for two drinks is a little crazy. Just sayin'

Not a lot of ridiculous rules.

    • Bungalow One Bed without Kitchenette
    • Stayed 7 nights

Our Bungalow room w/o kitchenette did not have anywhere (dressers) for clothes, no closet, we used the ironing board to put our clothes on. Shower had a one TINY shelf for shampoo's razors etc. Did not like having to wear a band provided at check to access areas. The bungalow pool was closed off a dusk, couldn't sit out at night to enjoy the ocean breeze, had to go to the bar for that.

My husband and l liked the availability of lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach, friendly staff would set them up! We liked having bikes to ride, the outside bar was great! Lots of USB ports for charging devices in our room.

not able to go up the stairs, only down. housekeeping is done way too late, around 5 pm daily. furniture needs updating in rooms. vent where AC comes out needs cleaning, it was disgusting. rooms should have flooring, not carpeting. dont understand when there are four people in a room that only 2 chairs and one umbrella is covered by the resort fee, that's ridiculous and NOT made clear upon arrival.

location, access to Octopus restaurant, coffee shop and bar. having access to beach chairs, umbrellas and towels and staff to help with them.

mattress too hard -pool closes too early. No pool 🏊 n the area shuts down at 5:30 pm.

The staff is absolutely the best. The guys doing the chairs and umbrellas deserve a raise😃🏖️They serves with a smile and respect each day. All staff were great. (front desk, housekeeping etc.). My complaints would be pool closes WAY Too EARLY! 5:30 they make you clear the pool! What family vacation hotel does that? Also. the mattress killed our backs they were so hard. Lighten up the pool restrictions and soften up the mattress.

That I had to pay extra for the parking because I booked through booking.com and not directly from the hotel. it was not mentioned anywhere else and no one told me that while I was checking in. feels like I was punished just for booking this hotel through booking.com.

the beach is very nice and close to the hotel. the complimentary beach chairs are just 2 for room although we were 4 people. the lobby is nice and well designed. the room was ok not more not less.

The hotel does need a bit of TLC and I think they said it was going to be reverbed. It was sufficient for us though and the staff were very helpful.

Lovely hotel for a couple of nights and the breakfast was very good (not included so an extra charge), lots of choice. Right by the beach and just a short walk from lots of eateries and shops. Staff lovely and helpful. Loved it that you could use some bikes to have a ride out.
