Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe entrance of the hotel is a bit cluttered where you need to take an elevator just to arrive at the lobby.
Awesome location. Very close to the Port Authority station. Only a few mins walk to anywhere midtown. Room was clean and the bathroom was spotless. Bed was comfortable - ideal for a night's sleep before you head out for work.

TurkeyThe reception staff at the time of check in was not nice. I would have expected a little more friendly and kind welcome at the reception. During my check out, I had a similar experience. Except for the reception, all other staff was very nice and helpful.
Clean and comfortable hotel with good location if you want to be around Times Square area and near to theaters. Although the hotel was in a lively area, the room was not noisy and I had a good sleep.

United States of AmericaNothing!
The hotel allowed me to check in early, which was a nice surprise. I was given a room at the end of the corridor, which I liked because it was quiet. The room was a good size for someone traveling alone.

IndiaNothing actually !
The Pod is ideal for solo travelers, couples or two people willing to split between a bunk bed. It's at a strategic location where everything is available just outside the accommodation. The design is optimised for size while still providing comfort ( not luxury ) As a solo traveler it was absolutely reassuring to reach my accommodation after a late night broadway show amidst busy streets and within ten minutes of walking. The staff were helpful, did whatever was needed to help, ( I could get packages delivered and the staff helped me get a cab to the airport ) the airport and the bus stations are also nearby. So you could also pick that alternative based on your luggage situation ! If you're on the top floors the views are also great !!

NetherlandsWe first got a room that wasn't ready and not cleaned. Luckely the desk responded quickly by providing a different (and clean!) room.
Location is great, close to Times Square. I got a good price for a last minute booking which was around 40% off normal price. I wouldn't have booked the room for the orginal price. The discounted price was in balance with the quality you get.

BrazilThe staff in general was really unfriendly, with some rare exceptions. We had no problems at all despite of this, but it gave a weird impression given the "not-cheap" price paid for the accomodation.
The best thing about this Pod is its location, with a walk distance from many of Manhattan's top spots and close to some of the city's best attractions. There is also a subway station only one block away, which makes moving around the city and even to the airports very easy. The room is incredibly small but nonetheless has a decent bed and bathroom.

NorwayThe rooftop was closed and the restaurant/breakfast bar was a bit underwhelming. But we got good tips for breakfast spots from a helpful staff member.
Very centrally located and in close proximity to public transit and ferry terminals. It’s placement in midtown made it a great hub to explore all of manhatten from!

United States of AmericaThere wasn’t anything I disliked about the property but think it is a little too expensive for the room size.
The lobby is quite chic. Love the aesthetics. There are several small, comfortable areas to relax and because rooms are so small that is a big plus. Easy to grab coffee and a small bite in the morning at the bar area.

TunisiaPrice: very expensive compared to the room size (twin beds). Twice, the water from the bathroom sink was dark brown and it was very scary No amenities in the room except for the hairdryer. No TV, no closet, no refrigirator. No space to store your luggage. Although i asked for room servixe daily, my room was cleaned only twice during my 5 nights stay.
Great location: 5 minutes to Times Square, close to Madame Tussauds and Broadway The hotel is clean and looks new. Upon check-out, the hotel allows to store bags in a secure room until we are ready to leave.

NetherlandsWould do hotel again, but would not recommend room 18-22: sloppy. Bed light was broke, mentioned it 2 times, no action. Ports to charge your phone didn’t work. Shower leaky. Low water pressure overall, water temperature unreliable. The hallways are dark en somewhat sinister. Rather expensive, but so is New York.
Location on 42the - heart of the action. Noise no problem, well isolated. Smooth running operation, clean. Quick elevators. Welcoming lobby & bar. Pods are pods - 11m2 is small - you basically live out of your suitcase - no cupboards. The bathroom-shower is relatively spacious- good choice. You live on your bed. Nice view.
