Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumThe price per night is expensive, but this is too be expected for the location. Another small note is the windows which were filthy (from the outside), I guess difficult to clean them often.
The location of the hotel is excellent, very central and close to metro stations. We basically walked everywhere, which was great. Many restaurants, cafes/ bars and supermarket nearby. The room is exactly as in the photos, quite small but we had everything we needed/ expected (double room / private bathroom). The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels were provided, although the bed sheets were not changed during our stay, but this was not a problem.

United States of AmericaThe shared bathroom situation was not pleasant. There were only two bathrooms for our floor. One was much smaller than the other, and the large one was almost always occupied. The small bathroom's shower was malfunctioning and the coldest temp possible was about 90 degrees. Not pleasant after walking all day in 85 degrees with humidity. The walls in my room were also not completely clean. It looked like someone spilled a liquid that dripped down the wall which was not ever cleaned. Room also smelled faintly of cigarettes (which I understand is extremely challenging to get out).
Room was (mostly) clean and I got acclimated to the area quickly. Room was small but designed to be comfortable enough. Small room means AC cools the room down quickly (or conversely heats up quickly). Staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of food/bev options close by.

CanadaThe bathrooms were a bit rundown, even though they were clean, but that might just be an "old New York building" thing.
The staff were lovely and the location was great for Central Park and access to the subway - and it was quiet for such a central location.

DenmarkThe first toom I got smelled bad, so I asked for another room. I instantly got it, which was nice.
Great location, price was cheaper than any other places I could go to, it did not matter too much that there was a shared shower. Staff was nice. It has an awesome rooftop terrace. I instantly got another room when I asked for it, and the new room had a superb view and was very clean.

United States of AmericaThe HVAC units are a bit loud. The toilet placement and size of bathroom is a bit odd to get used to.
Simple, clean quiet room. I loved the bathroom design, and the shower was nice and drenching!

United KingdomSmall/cramped room and undersize bed. No fridge or kettle - but we knew that. A lot of street/sidewalk noise when the bar dowstairs closed - would not be great in the Summer with windows open.
Great location for a quick stay, and easy access to subway. Friendly staff and easy checkin.

AzerbaijanRooms are small. No electric kettle and no fridge. Also, they did not have a plug adapter for European sockets and I had to buy one. But all of these things are solvable. The location of the hotel makes it an ideal place to stay. Highly recommended.
The location is great. A walking distance to almost all of the landmarks. There is also a metro station nearby. The staff were very helpful.

SwitzerlandPod 51 being an between between a hotel and a hostel does not offer complete silence and has noise due to its very sought after nature for its price and location, it did not bother me as I was looking for those two factors. However, if you need great comfort and silence, I would not recommend this location.
I really enjoyed being at the center of the city, this was so practical & exactly what I was looking for. I was wiling to give up complete comfort for a good location and a reasonable prize and it is what I got :) I was happy with the price / comfort ratio

United States of AmericaIt gave hostel vibes, but having stayed at hotels before, this was not on par with the experiences I have had at hostels. I did not have a blanket, just a top sheet and that was it. No accurate photo of the room was provided at the time of booking, had I seen the room before hand, I would have definitely opted for higher priced room just for peace of mind.
Location was less than a 5 minute walk from the nearest subway station. Check-in & Check-out were smooth, and the staff was friendly. Met my needs for the price and I was glad to have found it when I did. Spoke to fellow guests at the hotel and they were friendly and were enjoying their experience in the city and stay at the hotel.

FranceThe bed was set against the wall and seemed to slant towards the floor. The window faced another wing of the hotel so I couldn't see the sky and it was gloomy which is one of my bugbears.
The hotel is easy to find and there's a sweet little public garden just opposite. Check-in was fast. They are good at turning super tiny spaces into efficient spaces for a short stay.

United States of AmericaNice area far enough were things are quiet and relaxing but also close enough that a short walk gets you to time square. Also there is a great park across the street, which just matches a relaxing atmosphere. City bike stand is close if you intend to use those as well, overall Id come back to stay. I got the pod so had to share the bathrooms, they were clean every time I went in and stocked with paper.
