Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of Americabooking.com, they kept emailing me to tell me my cc wasn't accepted when I had already paid the place directly.
This is a gem - a perfect location for running/hiking right near the state park. The lodge is beautiful and well maintained. No issues.

NetherlandsIt's completely self service and there is absolutely nothing in terms of amenities except coffee for the morning that you have to make yourself but if you want a bag of chips you have to bring it from the nearby town. Understanding how to make the shower work was quite an ordeal.... They did put some instruction but that was definitely not sufficient! We were there in the winter and it was cold outside there was sadly in the middle room a very strong smell of oil from the heating system. Nevertheless I would return there in a second if I ever go back to Plattsburgh.
It's very remote so you need to like this kind of place but it was fantastic and you're actually downtown Klatsburg in about ten minute drive so it's not really that remote. It's beautiful, quaint Lenny's definitely not your typical hotel.

United States of AmericaThe mattress we had was a bit too firm for our liking, so it was difficult to sleep. The people downstairs also didn't respect the quiet hours set, and so we could hear them talking throughout the night - turning on the bathroom fan helped this!
The lodge is gorgeous and so peaceful! You can tell that the staff wants it to be a positive experience - the atmosphere is very warm, and the space is clean. We spent a few hours reading on the balcony/loft inside, and it was cozy and a wonderful way to wind down. The hosts are very kind and available as well!

United States of AmericaOur king bed in the Quilter Room sagged and was too unevenly soft without good support. I had two bad nights of sleep due to sleeping crooked. We loved the crisp white linens though.
Clean and quiet!! Easy to access and good communication from staff. The fact that we could bring our little dog while visiting family was a huge help.

United States of AmericaWe only reserved one night!
What didn't we like! The is a huge lodge with an assortment of rooms, some with Jacuzzis & fireplaces, sliders to private deck or balcony. The room itself is large with a large bathroom & separate toilet with a bidet! The bed - soooo comfortable (the mattress, pillows, comforter - ahhhh!), & the towels were plush. There is a huge great room which you enter & the bedrooms are either off the hallway or upstairs. There are cozy sitting areas, game cabinet, huge fireplace & lots of windows making this a warm & inviting room. Down one hallway is a dining room that leads into a well stocked kitchen (bring your own food to cook if you like). There's also a cozy den with an assortment of books, & wine glasses (bring wine!). Outside there's a huge screened-in gazebo, there's a fire pit, & Lake Champlain is down the road! I highly recommend this beautiful lodge!

Canada1) The description of the resort mentionned that our room (WEAVER) would have a television and cable channels; however there was none in our room and none in the common area. Is it a big deal? No, but since there is nothing around, we would have appreciated to have one. 2) Also know, that you absolutely need a car if you plan to stay at this lodge; no restaurant, no convenience store, etc. within walking distance. 3) There is no employee on the premises; a couple speaking french only, needed our help to get the code from the owner, whom was very nice and appreciated our efforts.
We absolutely LOVED our two-night stay at this hotel. The parking is free and right in front of the entrance. This lodge gives you the feeling of being at your own cottage. The public space is really beautiful with the overhead balcony, the elegant stairway and the cozy chairs and sofas plus the fireplace. There are games and books and the place is calm and welcoming. The kitchen and dining room are a plus and you can prepare your own meals and minggle with other guests. The bedroom was spacious, very clean, the bedsheets very comfortable and the same for the towels. We had a fireplace and a jacuzzi bathtub.

CanadaWalls are a little thin, so if you don't like a bit of noise, might not be the place for you.
Excellent location, beautiful views. The room had a lovely Jacuzzi tub (we couldn't get the jets going, but it was still lovely to soak in while staring at the sky). Comfy clean carpeted floor we're a treat for the feet, and the bed was super comfy. Oh, and the lovely balcony to take in sunrise with morning coffee. Wonderful.

CanadaThe room was very clean, comfortable and very quiet. It was a relaxing stay! No TV in the room, but it didn’t matter. We enjoyed sitting on the patio. There is a common area with a full kitchen you can use to prepare your meals. Really beautiful place and super clean! Feels like home. On your drive up watch out for the deer.

United States of AmericaOddly (at least to us) there was NO ONE there, not a single employee to greet, answer questions, assist with luggage, I mean literally we did not see one other person, neither staff nor guest. The room we stayed in had no TV or (as far as we could tell) internet. And there was no one there to ask about the wifi. Or if we needed an extra towel. Or if there was an ice machine. In all fairness, it could have been our oversight about the lack of a TV, internet or absentee staff and management. We did have a text from someone identifying himself as Yuri that included the codes for the front door and room so we could let ourselves in. We could have called or texted him but it was only for one night, and we didn't think of it at the time.
The place is beautiful, a log cabin lodge on a very nice piece of property. Trees, birds, lush green grass (we stayed during the first week of May). The room we had, quaintly called "the quilter", was very clean and very much like a medium sized master bedroom in someones nicely furnished home. We appreciated the window and large sliding glass doors that opened out onto the private deck overlooking the grounds. Really lovely. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spotless with exceptional quality towels. Considering the room's name, we thought it interesting that there was no quilt anywhere in the room. It was very quiet and peaceful. All in all, a great place to stay for the night.

CanadaThere was coffee and limited tea selection, but as early in the season, there were no meal options available, so we had to go out for all our meals. The property info should be updated seasonally. There was also no lakeside view, but there is a lookout and State park close to see Lake Champlain. It was hot at night.
The towels were gorgeous and luxurious. The jacuzzi double tub was lovely and lots of hot weather. The room was large yet cozy. Comfortable bed. The scenery was gorgeous as out in the country. Close enough to Plattsburgh for meals and activities.
