There’s a steep staircase to get to the apt but it wasn’t a problem for us but it might be for others. FYI The office is open but only to pick up the key and drop it off. No facilities for a family with kids, ibut great for a couple.

The apartment was very comfortable with ocean view & walking distance to the small beach & shopping village. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

There was nothing we really didn't like, though other elderly visitors might find the two flights of stairs rather challenging. The climb was definitely worth it! A good reason to travel light! Also, being larger people we found the living room furniture not the most comfortable for longer periods of sitting and the bar type chairs on the outside deck needed some practice to ensure a close encounter with the table. We would have preferred to have had one bathtub and one shower, rather than two showers. None of these niggles impacted the quality of our stay.

1. the owners were onsite and willingly and promptly dealt with our needs and provided valuable local knowledge 2. the main bedroom bed is the most comfortable I have slept in away from home in over 60 years of travel 3. the view from our rental across the bay is outstanding 4. the provision of beach towels, chairs and an umbrella was most thoughtful and appreciated 5. the rental was well-equipped with all we required for our stay.

No pool! We just expected that all properties had access to a pool, so didn't even ask when booking. Most of the units are uphill from the parking lot and have stairs outside, although the unit does not have stairs inside. Not a problem with normal mobility, but challenging for my husband who uses a cane. A couple of units are on the parking lot level. Our windows did not work well, probably original equipment.

This property is a two-block walk to Brennecke's Beach. The landscaping is very tropical and beautiful. Air conditioning worked well. Nice barbeque/picnic area, nice laundry room. Very quiet, relaxing. Staff was very friendly.

The bedroom stayed kinda hot, regardless of the fan being on high the whole time. Other than the mix up with our room “being canceled” in the beginning of our check in process everything was lovely.

The location was perfect for us, it was very clean and tidy when we got there. The kitchen was appointed well with everything we needed to cook all meals. I loved the shower soaps already in the shower, I didn’t need to bring my own, that was a nice touch.

Our A/C didn't seem too effective and we ended up just using the trade winds via windows and fans and that kept us very comfortable.

It was quiet, I enjoyed the fact that 2 beach chairs and an umbrella were provided for our use. The unit was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. I received texts from Pete regarding local events and activities available. We were invited to help ourselves to the vegetable garden located at the facility, that was rather unique, and delicious. Our unit was very near the beach, we could walk there, an added bonus. I would definitely book restaurants in advance as they are busy in the evenings. The local tourist shopping area provided delicious food with little waiting time and live music, be sure and check it out.

Temperature control, there was aircondition but very noisy and struggling to keep the temperature down.

We chose a water/ocean view, which meant climbing (and toting luggage, etc. up and down) 18 stairs to our lodging. Too much for 70 year olds during a week-long stay. We’d choose garden view or similar to avoid the stairs if we returned to this property.

Very comfortable suite, with everything provided. Very clean, close to beaches and everything from beach towels to sun umbrella and chairs provided.

Shower stall floor looked dirty….probably worn out… Area around the trash could be cleaner…many rain soaked cardboard boxes.

Would not have been a good choice for a stay with a kid who wanted to swim in both a pool and the ocean daily. But for just me and a one night stay it was just fine.

It was a last minute booking because of a miscommunication at another resort. The key was waiting for me even though the office was not manned at the time I arrived. The bed was comfortable which was my basic need.

Shower handle

Extremely easy. Knowing where to go/where my suite was tricky for about 30 seconds, and otherwise very smooth. An unexpected surprise was the quality of the BnB portion of our stay -- every morning by 8AM there was a unique, locally-sourced breakfast and fresh coffee waiting for us right next to our bedroom. Property was gorgeous and within walking distance to poipu beach. What else... Doing a load of laundry was easy, and Pete was very hands-off/friendly.

All beware. This property is nothing liked pictured. It is run down. No ocean view as advertised. No staff onsite. We checked in by an envelope with a key in a shack they call office at 2:30 in the afternoon. When entering the room the window screens were ripped and hanging off the shades were dirty and ripped. The room was nothing liked picture. Dark and dingy. We lasted 15 minutes there. As we were two women and didn’t feel safe. Left a note on envelope with key back in the shack of an office and stated we were highly disappointed in the condition of the property and room. We had to go to another property and pay 3,000 to stay. When I required about receiving a refund I was told because they lied and stated we were a no show was not entitled to a refund due to their policy. What a scam. Shame on you !

This property is nothing like pictured and described. We lasted 15 minutes. Nothing to like! False advertising at its finest.

I thought we had rented a place that had a pool plus breakfast option but there were only suites on this property. Otherwise, great!
