If you need anything from the office, be sure to stop by during office hours, which end at 5pm. This can be a tad inconvenient, but likely the small group and limited hours keeps costs down. It will be more like a cabin, air bnb than a hotel.

The Ponderosa was wonderful for my trip to RMNP. It's a few minutes from the Falls River entrance, though this is under construction and not the primary entrance, and maybe 10 minutes from the Beaver Meadows entrance. It is close to town and along the river which was wonderful. I was traveling alone and felt very safe here throughout my stay which is always an important factor. Bonus- they have smart TVs to stream your favorite shows when you get back at night.

This property is located right off the highway yet feels so secluded. There’s a good variety of wildlife that hangs around as well. We really enjoyed the outdoor hot tub on the cooler nights as well as the fireplace in the room. We greatly enjoyed our stay at Ponderosa Lodge and will be back for another stay 🤍

We are so happy that we found this cozy and beautiful lodge! It was way more than we expected. There's a wood-burning fireplace in the room, the cabin decor was so warm, the rooms are right up against a river, and you can open the back patio door and listen to the water, which is so relaxing! There's also a cute swing on each porch. They have a relaxing hot tub, and the scenery is just beautiful. The staff was so sweet (including their dog, Aspen!). We will absolutely be visiting again!!

Not enough parking and it showed the weekend before we came up, it would have been nice to have the fire pit area cleared out to have a fire.

It was a very cute spot and the lodge is good at communicating which is SO nice! Everything was explained on the check in packet and I enjoyed our room with the cute fireplace:) I highly recommend!

Our room had a wonderful view with the river just outside our door. The location was just outside the RMNP and very quiet. The staff was very nice and we loved being greeted by Aspen everyday. Definitely going to come back.

Not a complaint, but in the summertime I'm sure there's a lot more traffic on that road. (Definitely wasn't loud in the winter, when Estes Park is not busy.)

Super-friendly managers, adorable dog in the hotel lobby, free cookies, all around character. Really cozy room with an electric fireplace. Mountain stream running right by the place. Very quiet in the winter, almost nobody around, no traffic noise. Big hot tub out front. Great coffee in the room. Would gladly stay again.

Staff was friendly and gave excellent recommendations for the area, taking into consideration the overnight weather changes. We were in room 7 on the 2nd floor: it had a balcony with a river view, fireplace, loveseat, small table with 2 chairs, tv, and a chest of drawers. We also had a coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge. Everything was very clean, and there were several toiletries stocked in the bathroom. We were just a few minutes from town with short routes to opposite sides of town, and we were very close to the Fall River Entrance of RMNP. We didn't have time to enjoy the hot tub and open area with the fire pit. Parking was limited, but guests seemed to share space respectfully. The wifi worked very well. I received a text before arrival which gave specific directions with photos- very helpful! We checked in after the office closed, and we had no problem collecting our key and information envelope. I wish we could have had more time and look forward to a return visit in the future!
