Since the room is on the top floor, it was rather warm when we entered but we were able to cool it down in no time!

The Pope House is absolutely beautiful and the Green Room is so charming. The bathroom and all it held - duo head shower, duo sink, tv, the view, the huge bathtub - heavenly!!! The kitchen in the room next had everything you needed to cook, you just have to supply the food. And having a Keurig supplied with pods right in the room was very much appreciated!

I wish it was a queen or king bed. Considering it has a spa tub, it is well suited for couples, so a bigger bed to suit couples would be much more practical. The bed is the ONLY reason we don’t stay there a 3rd time.

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay! The room was exceptionally clean! We ordered breakfast from Steve’s cafe, which was delicious! I highly recommend this place! We loved it so much that we plan on staying here again.

Not a thing to complain about. Great location, great room, great bathtub, and great hosts!

Beautiful old home but well appointed with modern amenities. Immaculately clean, quiet, and excellent hosts! It was -25 degrees (not even including wind chill) and they checked on me a couple times to make sure I was warm enough (which I was--the room stayed quiet comfortable and there was extra plush bedding to boot). AND, when my car wouldn't start in the morning, they helped me out with a jump start! Above and beyond the call of duty service! Add to that a great location close to downtown and the capitol building, and it was absolutely perfect. I plan to stay here again when I have to attend future meetings in Helena.

Can’t think of a thing

From booking to check out everything was great! The check in & out processes were streamlined and the room was exactly as described. Both the neighborhood and house were quiet and we slept well. Great find for a last minute overnight in Helena.

Quiet, very comfortable. Bed was super comfortable and that tub is amazing. Had everything I needed and easy to check in with keyless entry even though I came in later. Was an incredible retreat-like experience. Very clean and safe and excellent location in beautiful part of town not far from downtown. Beautiful property! Good communication from hosts.

The only downside was that our room was on the third floor. Typical of old homes, the stairs were steep. Request a room on a lower floor if you have mobility issues.

Lovely old house in great condition. Our room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was huge! There is a common kitchen, but we had it all to ourselves.

What wasn't to like?

Beautiful historic home. Lots of time spent making it a beautiful place to stay. The bathroom was spectacular. Wonderful tiled shower with independently controllable dual heads. Great water pressure. Quiet neighborhood. Easy check in and access. Host was very responsive and helpful wanting to ensure everything was right for an enjoyable stay. Easy walk to town. The historic and fun part at least. The neighborhood is full of historic homes and it was so nice to walk and look at them, read the history about them.

Stairs. A little difficult parking.

Nice quiet stay. Comfortable. Liked the large tub with enough hot water to fill it. Liked the double shower heads in shower. Nice to have a kitchen even though we didn't use it.

We loved the location; you can walk down to the old part of Helena easily. The rooms are nicely done (the bed is exceptionally comfy) and very friendly! The bathroom is larger than a lot of motel rooms. We never got to use the large tube, to busy, definitely on next trip. The house is quiet and majestic, unlike a cold motel setting, the pope house is a way better deal than any motel we have stayed at in Helena.

It need curtains on all the windows to block out the street lights and the church in the middle of the night and a way to turn down the thermometer, otherwise the places wonderful
