Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaOverall everything was great. I didn't like how the parking in the city was essentially a scam. Everything was so high priced and pretty much nowhere allowed you to park overnight without gouging you. The valet was reasonable when you compare it to the city prices but I prefer to park my own car if I can.
Clean, room was spacious, view was nice. Nice bathtub and good water pressure. Big bed with comfortable chairs to lounge on. Great location with easy access to everything. Had a really nice lobby with sitting area and great fireplace to warm yourself up by.

United States of AmericaThe wait time at the restaurant to have the waitress come to our table was so long. We sat there for about 18 minutes. The mimosas were good but very small for the price (opt for a screwdriver instead). The bloody Mary's were not spicy.
The hotel is beautiful inside and has quality decor and furniture. They offer kcup coffee, fresh fruit, muffins, and more on your floor. Also, there's a bar and restaurant with full breakfast and drinks. The breakfast was delicious!

United Kingdom$45 for parking is ridiculous. I’m not sure if they control of that but it’s an added expense that takes away from feeling like great value for money.
Excellent location in the centre and lovely rooms. Huge comfortable bed.

United States of AmericaThe bottom of the shower needed a bush in the seem of the granite. I was surprised at the size of the garden view rooms. I had trouble finding a space to stretch in the morning. They rooms have a nice sized bathroom with shower and tub (separate), an armoire, two comfortable arm chairs, and a king sized bed. The rooms are long and narrow. They are a tad small for the price.
The hotel is in a terrific location if you want to walk around at night and enjoy a dinner out and possible another drink. We had breakfast in the restaurant below and my husband said it was the best eggs benedict he has had in a long time. The room is very comfortable and we enjoyed having one of the interior rooms over looking the garden plaza. It was quiet and we both slept well.

United States of AmericaAll good.
Appreciated the small touches — the fire in the lobby, good Starbucks coffee in the lobby, the pantry snacks, the lovely sheets, the high end toiletries, the complimentary bottled water, a text from the front desk to make sure all was well. And free valet parking!!

GermanyA bit overpriced and rooms felt a bit dated. Also valet parking was the only choice and it was quite pricey for the stay.
Great location, clean rooms, and loved the snacks and coffee/tea on each floor. Great place from which to explore Portland.

United States of AmericaThe one big negative was the lighting in the bathroom. It was absolutely dark in the shower. The light switch for the bathroom was well outside the bathroom. Lights over microwave were dim, though at least there was a makeup mirror.
It was very comfortable. Bed and pillow very nice. Loved having coffee and on every floor. Location was convenient.

United States of AmericaParking cost 45$/day. it's too much. The charging points next to the bed weren't working on our first night, I didn't notice and only found out the next morning, while out that I don't have a battery. They did fixed them the next day but the charging was very slow, so I had to charge my phone in the bathroom at night. so just check these things if it's important to you.
The room was clean. I loved that I could open the window to get air in. I loved that they had a snack place for each floor where they had some snacks and tea/coffee at all time. the location is great. Bed was very comfortable.

United States of AmericaParking. Could be clearer that valet parking was HEAVILY encouraged at a hefty price. $45 per day is a lot to pay on top of the price of the room.
We loved that we were located right down in the heart of the historic district of Portland. The amenities in the rooms were outstanding. The only drawback was that on the floor my husband and I stayed on, the pantry was always short water or other items that was on other floors where the rest of our party was staying.

United States of AmericaValet is super expensive. We stayed in Room 227 and could hear EVERYTHING because we were situated right outside the elevator--high heels? Heard them. Suitcases rolling out of the elevator? Heard them. Housekeeping restocking the coffee station or taking their carts off the elevator? Heard them. It was truly the noisiest room we've spent the weekend in and we've stayed at PHH at least 6-7 times. The elevator also seemed slower than we remember--takes forever just to go up to the 2nd floor. Finally, missed the soap they used to offer. The toiletries are not as good :-(
The room was very comfortable. The coffee station outside was also a nice touch. The hotel restaurant served a nice breakfast and the grounds were always very clean. Such a convenient location, we cannot help staying here. The decor is nautical and very appealing.
