What they called breakfast, should not even be mentioned! Even bagels choice that they had was only with raisins.

At reception they changed my room upon request, from second floor to first. Clean rooms

The AC unit was extremely loud. I was unable to sleep with earplugs and a pillow over my head.

Very spacious room, very clean great location comfortable bed. The best shower I had in a week.

Even though the breakfast lobby was big, there were only very limited items for breakfast. Mostly pre-packed snacks/bread. We had to explicitly ask the lady at the front desk about breakfast timing. Our key did not work next day morning and had t go to front desk to get it fixed. Someone was smoking weed frequently close to our room which was really uncomfortable.

Excellent Location. Clean and Spacious room. Somewhat close to Carlsbad Caverns National Park. Few restaurants in walking distance. Check-in process was smooth. Plenty of parking spots.

Place is good if you want to stay some time in Big Bend or Alpine. if you are passing by as we did, better get a hotel.

Only complaints were that: 1) the breakfast was very meager - no hot items or protein items. 2) Also, the air conditioning unit in the room was sooooooo loud. Almost couldn't sleep with that thing roaring in the background.

Rooms was new/fresh and comfortable. Very spacious - much better standard than what you might get at many of the more expensive but older hotels in the area.

Previous reviewers noted grave deficiency with the breakfast. It's been noted repeatedly. And it turned out to be exactly like that. Cold Cereal but no milk or spoons. A few Bagels. Coffee but creamer had gone bad. Instant oatmeal but no hot water one day. And no instant oatmeal the next. We had read the reviews all in advance so we came prepared it with our own supplies. Also it's an easy walking distance to a McDonald's if you need to grab breakfast there. But the reviews have been consistent over a couple years. It wouldn't seem that hard to fix.

Rooms were comfortable enough. Cleanliness in our room was good. The coffee maker did not work. And a new staff member, Janice, went out of her way to try and help. Unfortunately she never succeeded. A hidden gem in the neighborhood is the Living Desert Zoo & Gardens State Park which is only 10 minutes away and worth way more than the five buck admission charge! Great way to get to know the plants and animals if you are not from that neck of the woods . It is also only an hour to Roswell New Mexico if you're into the UFO thing.

The check in process took over 20 minutes and was, by far, the worst service we have ever seen at a hotel on our two-month long journey across the USA and Mexico. The pen I was given to sign was a pink felt marker. There was no wifi code or information given about the timing of breakfast. The clerk went to check our room to make sure it was ready, and we were subsequently given another room. (We were not asking for an early check-in.) The previous occupant left a half bottle of beer and a bag of limes in the fridge. The hvac unit was unplugged, which is not a big deal, but we did not know whether temperature was controlled at the unit or with the thermostat on the wall. The tv input automatically selected HDMI 1, but source was HDMI 3 (again not a big deal, but not seamless like it should have been). Breakfast was a joke. There was cereal but no milk, no yogurt or fruit, just a few bagels and some pre-made pancakes. The staff acknowledged that they “could” be out of milk but made no effort to check for more or provide an explanation (or apology). It felt like the staff could not care less about the guest experience and/or the reputation of the motel.

The room was spacious and had all of the amenities we needed: comfortable bed, adequate outlets, desk, closet, coffee maker, microwave and fridge. It is modern and appeared clean. Lighting was bright. There was also a luggage rack and iron/ironing board and hair dryer. The bath had a shower (no tub), and the sink was outside of the toilet/shower room.

Although the location is good walking distance from some excellent food locations, it apparently is the adjacent to the street of choice for nightly car racing, and so it was a bit noisy. Also, there appeared to be locals cruising through the parking lot into the late hours with music blasting. Not the greatest for peace and quiet.

Loved the cool mod refresh. Beds were comfortable and room was spotless, and very spacious.
