Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI had to go to the office twice to pick up bedding for the sofa bed and 2 more towels since 4 people were staying in the room.

United States of AmericaWhile the property itself was fine, the area is a little odd and isolated feeling - next to some kind of office building and a big furniture store. There's a "gate" to the parking area, which is just an arm that goes up and down. But you can walk right in, which felt less safe. Though the room seemed well-cleaned, there was a faint smell of cigarettes (or something) in the room when we arrived. While we didn't need the pull-out sofa, I didn't see any linens for it in the room or even an extra blanket, so I assume you would have to ask for those.
I was in town for an event at Yale and booked here for two nights as an alternative to some of the pricier downtown hotels. I was not disappointed. The room we booked had a full kitchen, a queen bed, and a pull-out sofa. We weren't in need of the kitchen, but it would be great for a longer stay or for a family. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure good. Staff was professional and friendly and there's a full standard breakfast in the morning. I would stay here again.

CanadaA more balanced breakfast. We booked a room for 4. The sofa bed was only suitable for 1 person so 3 had 3 people sleep on the bed.
The breakfast selection was very limited. My husband couldn't eat. No healthy options.

United States of AmericaRooms were clean , however The rooms def need an upgrade. Old carpets, ripped linoleum, tv didn’t work in the living room rust in the bathroom tub and the sheer curtains were basically shredded . Old appliances and dust on all the air vents that looked like they weren’t cleaned for years !

United States of AmericaThe room had trash in the garbage form the previous occupant. I called the front desk and told me they would take care of it in the morning.. through out my 4 day duration they never got the garbage. Also, what i didn’t like about the hotel was that Bookings.com leaves out that they put a 50 dollar hold for each night that you are there. They held 200 dollars from me and not that I have a problem with that but it should have been made known upfront.
The location was pretty cool

United States of AmericaI’m sorry I mentioned what I didn’t like in the section it said what did I like so in this section I’m just gonna repeat what I didn’t like no I’m gonna put that what I did like the bed it was comfortable other than that the tallest seat was too low to the ground The room was dingy and needs some paint. They didn’t have any staff on other than the receptionist and it was only 10 o’clock at night for the pull out bed in the room.
Room needs to be upgraded toilets, too low to the ground. They can use a coat of paint in the room. They should always have maintenance on the ground at all time and home keeping there was no lining for the pullout bed and I had to go to the office to get it myself, which was ridiculous so I didn’t even go the breakfast shouldn’t even be called breakfast. They brought out some corn beef hash and biscuits. No eggs at all not one they should’ve said continental breakfast cause that’s what it was. Overall I did get a good nights sleep, because the one full-size bed was very comfortable .

BelgiumThere were a lot of defects: a carpet full of stains, a broken ice maker, plates and cutlery that were missing (these were immediately replenished after being reported), a broken door lock, a dangerous outside staircase due to a broken step that almost made me fall.
A great base for visiting Yale University in New Haven. A spacious room with a good bed.

United States of AmericaThe furnishings in the room were worn, and there was hair on the wall in the bathroom. There were also no sheets/blankets/pillows for the pull out twin bed.
Diego at the front desk was wonderful! He was very helpful and pleasant. The bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious. It's definitely not a luxury hotel, but it did the job. We were able to leave our car at no charge when we flew out of Tweed for 4 days, which saved us $120 in parking fees.

United States of AmericaThe only minor issue was the bathroom was kind of small and the heat in the room came out inconsistently, so it was hard to keep the temperature stable.
Everything was very good. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast had variety of items. The parking and access to the hotel were easy and quick.

United States of AmericaThe breakfast was not very satisfactory. You get potatoes, bread, yogurt, milk, juice, butter, jam and cream. Eggs, sausages, bacon and other meat options come and go; there is no fixed menu. The only problem is that they supply is limited. The staff does not replenish the food quickly enough. As a matter of fact, my family sometimes had to wait for some 10 minutes to get more food, which was frustrating. It gave me the impression that the staff was intentionally limiting our consumption. As for the kitchen in the suite, the hotel offers salt and black pepper in small packages which you can only find on airplanes. I have no idea why they would choose such a ridiculous way of providing key ingredients. It is not only troublesome for us to cook with (imagine having a steak ready to come out at any second and you must tear apart a dozen packages to get enough salt and black pepper with your wet hands) but also not environmentally friendly. I hope the hotel can improve on this.
The hotel is located in the suburb of New Haven. It is very remote so if you are not driving, travelling around can be very difficult. For everyone's reference, the bus often arrives 15 minutes late. The hotel is right next to a natural reserve, so the air is very refreshing. The surrounding is not exactly suitable for a walk because of all the motorways and the lack of places of interests. However, this also means that the surrounding is extremely quiet. The kitchen is relatively well-equipped, just enough for us to cook Chinese food. The beds (including the sofa bed) are quite comfortable. Although they are nothing like the ones in five-star hotels, they are definitely more than enough for a good rest. The receptionist is very friendly and answers phone quickly. You can ask him/her about anything. The laundromat on site is a bonus.

United States of AmericaWe had to request another suite. The refrigerator was leaking and the apploances weren’t working. The second suite we were given, the microwave wasn’t working. The stove was smoking from it not being cleaned. We ended up cleaning the oven ourselves. The ceiling fan was missing a blade and when we turned it on, it began to smoke. So we didn’t use the fan. The couch bed was not fit for more than one person and the carpets were filthy.
The breakfast and location were the best part of the trip. Easy to find getting off the highway

United States of AmericaThe carpeting looked pretty nasty but otherwise the room was clean. It would be nice to have a bench or two to put luggage on. We were only allowed 1 extra pillow instead of the 2 we requested 😮💨
The location of NHVS was perfect (less than 5 minutes away from the venue we were attending) so we were thrilled with that. Also, the hot water was instant - no wasting water. The breakfast that was served was more than sufficient.
