Little bummed that one pool was closed so there was only one. The washer was very touchy. It didn’t want to work all the time, and shut off randomly. The mattresses was pretty worn. You had sleeping groves on it.

The complex looked a bit outdated overall, our bathtub and the washing mashine were s bot damaged (nothing major).

Our apartment was huge and had everything we needed (fully equipped kitchen, laundry, dryer). Pool area was nice and had enough chairs when we were there.

On the first night the wifi didn’t work.

The technology within the unit was not working. Cable tv in both tvs did not work. Service rep was able to fix it the next day. The following day the wifi, which we had connected to and worked the day prior, was not working. The technician came again and this time fixed with an extension cord. I guess the electrical plug was loose (and not fixed). These by themselves are not huge issues and were addressed fairly quickly, but they really should not happen and require us to call for help and wait for techs to resolve, especially at the price we paid for the unit and the cost of our time in this expensive paradise.

Nice overall layout, good location, great access to the north shore.

I was careful when I booked to choose a 2 bdrm unit with a king & twin/ twin set up but got a text later saying that could not be guaranteed. So be aware when booking you are not getting the unit or the view you think you are selecting. It’s whats available upon arrival. We were given king/ queen. Tried to switch but was told they didn’t have that configuration available. My teenagers weren’t excited so one slept on the fold out. We asked at the desk and they had a pass the buck story that “booking” was advertising it wrong. And I wasn’t actually booking that room with the pictures and set up I selected. That made no sense Also I thought front desk staff could have been more helpful. I asked about where to see sunrise, is there a walking path to beach and they were vague and not helpful. Upon advice we drove 25 min at 5:30 am to an eastern facing beach watch it rise over the ocean. ( it was gorgeous) but the next morning we realized we could have walked 5 min out the door to the end of the bluff to see it rise over the ocean. There was also a public area for sunset that was amazing that we figured out on our own. We were told there was no way to walk to beach but then later the day before leaving found a clearly marked public beach access path. They were all nice enough but could have helped a lot more with info about area. We asked about restaurants and was handed a list of just the names - no info about hours, type of food or price range or how to book table.

We happened to get a very nice top floor unit with vaulted ceiling and a nice view of the golf course to the ocean. It was lovely and clean. Nice linens.

Guests of the property on top floor were way too loud stomping and dragging bags across the floor. couldn’t sleep well. Chicken in room upon arrival which left poop in different spots in the apartment.

it was a little difficult to find food late at night, most places closed at 8pm or 9pm. nothing outside of the resort is very walkable

The air conditioner in the smaller bedroom only blew out warm air, and the window sills needed cleaned. But, the kitchen was very clean and so were the bathrooms. The laundry facility is a nice added convenience.

We had a huge condo with a lovely, private deck looking out at a small pond. The bedrooms had air conditioning which was a nice surprise. The pool and hot tub were nice and very clean

Air conditioning would be nice and also reduce outside noise via open windows, curtains, windows and Jacuzzi are showing their age. These items did not detract from an wonderful stay but should be added to future maintenance.

Safe, Clean, very exceptional accommodating staff, 2 bedroom option was spacious and a great value. Outdoor grounds were appealing and well maintained. Rooms were spacious and well appointed. Kitchen was well stocked with pots pans and utensils. Outdoor grills were spotless and cleaned every day. Special tribute to resort manager in accommodating our special needs

The units have no air conditioning and that was challenging at times for us because some days were very warm and very humid. Also, the master bedrooms have the outdated sunken tub/shower combo. and trying to navigate stepping in and out of it was challenging. Ours did have handicap rails but it would be better if the tub and shower were separated.

If you love the Princeville/Hanalei area, Ka Eo Kai is the perfect location for you. Located in Princeville, its about 4 miles from Hanalei. The units are large, the grounds are nice and the main pool & jacuzzi have a view of the golf course and the Ocean. The 2 bedroom 2 bath unit we had was very large, the kitchen was huge! The dining room table sat 6 and there was a table & chairs and lounging chairs outside on our wrap-around lanai. The sofa bed came in very handy for our family and we especially loved having a washer and dryer in our unit. There are bbq grills and an eating area near the pool.
