Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Felt like I was at home and on vacation. Very comfortable in a great location to everything. Although some would say the a/c was loud, that’s what’s expected from a window unit. Just ignore it!

United Kingdom1. While the code access system is a good feature, it does get awkward when you’re in an elevator with strangers & you don’t want them to see the code you’re entering, because anyone with your code could potentially open your door. 2. Before arriving, I contacted the front desk to ask for the best way to get to Mint House from JFK. The person I spoke with advised that my best option was for them to book me a taxi for $135 as Uber would most likely charge me more. I wish I hadn’t believed this. It turns out that there are a flurry of yellow cabs at JFK and they’ll take you anywhere in the city for a flat fee of $70!!!! Needless to say, I felt scammed, so it did put a dampener on my arrival.
Situated in a mixed use, art deco building, Mint House is not your typical hotel. There are great facilities like a coffee shop, fresh food supermarket, laundromat, gym, etc. The rooms give off an apartment vibe, making one instantly feel at home. I booked a small studio which was pleasantly spacious, with a nice, comfortable bed, fridge, a selection of beverages, crockery, etc. The vinyl record player is a lovely touch and you can pick up a selection of vinyls from reception to take back to your room. The front desk staff are helpful & friendly. The hotel is keyless. Meaning you’re given a code to operate the elevators & access your room. Getting around is relatively easy: Located in the heart of the Financial District, Mint House is a short walk from many attractions like Wall Street, 9/11 Memorial & Trinity Church. There are also a number of Metro stations close by as well as a ferry port less than 10 minutes walk away. I boarded the ferry from Wall Street Pier for a quick trip to Brooklyn.

IsraelThe elevator required a code and the buttons didn't work well - difficult to press and one time the panel was broken, and there was no way to call a different elevator, luckily someone else rode the second elevator down while I was waiting.
The room was great, it was well furnished and quiet

United States of AmericaI really loved this hotel experience, not really anything I would change.
Everything about Mint House was incredible. The actual building its inside of is gorgeous, which also include two high-end restaurants (including a Michelin star restaurant), and a rooftop bar. The actual hotel itself is extremely large and spacious, especially considering that it's in Manhattan. The ambiance of the room is fantastic, with darker walls, the record player, etc. The staff was incredible and went above and beyond for me. I proposed to my girlfriend over the weekend and the staff decorated the room with rose petals all over and got us a nice bottle, it was really sweet. There's a 4/5 train about a 5 minute walk away, so even though FiDi is a little south, we still found it pretty convenient to get around the city. 10/10 would recommend staying here.

United KingdomThe air conditioning/ heating can be a little loud at times, but isn’t enough to stop me from staying there again.
Hotel is in a great area, quiet especially on the weekends, and close to a few subway stations. Room was clean, so spacious and has lots of storage especially for big suitcases. There was also wardrobe space to hang or fold away clothes if staying for an extended time. Kitchen was also very clean and has everything one would need for a comfortable stay. Loved the record player and selection of vinyls in the room- a very unique touch.
