Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaSee above.
Only problem was that I asked, in advance, for a quiet room and they put me in a room facing Queens Boulevard. However, they did move me quickly to a quiet room at the rear of the building.

United States of AmericaI received a message from the Hotel telling me I can check in at 2pm. Due to stops and traffic, I did not arrive until 6:30pm, and my room was just being cleaned. We had to stand in the hallway for a few minutes. This delayed my preparation and arrival for a later event.
The location was good for what I was looking for. Close proximity to the Barclays Center and JFK. Offstreet parking, although small and only good for 5 cars.

United States of AmericaSince we had booked two rooms, one of the room keys provided was already occupied by someone else. We walked into a room with someone else's clothes and stuff already in the room. There was a mistake and we were given the keys to the new room. Small hiccup but would not expect this to happen again.
check in was quick and easy. No hassle even with parking. Overall a good experience.

United States of AmericaCheck-in and check-out took forever! I've never seen so much paper shuffling. Breakfast was ridiculous! Toast with jelly (no butter), ramen noodles, milk, juice and hot water. And fruit loops. They don't advertise breakfast, but there are pics of it on their site. With more selections than when we were there. If this is the best you can do, don't!
Very clean, comfortable room Firm mattress, just like we like it! Good wi-fi, everything worked Safe, interesting neighborhood, 10-15 min walk to metro Limited, but free parking on site!!

NetherlandsI just think they ask too much for the hotel. Maybe because in the city the good hotels were already sold out. There is breakfast, Drinks are from the vending mashines. Around the hotel nothing much interesting. Good for sleeping thats it. I stayed one night because of changes in my flight I arrived one day earlier then planned.

United States of AmericaThe fact that they offer "hourly rates" is a problem. That invites a whole different element to the guests you are sharing a building with. As a single man that grew up in NYC I was not overly concerned with safety, but I would not stay here if I was female or traveling with children. Queens Boulevard is a major thoroughfare but it is not residential or have a lot of stores on this part. It is mostly a mix of industrial and gas stations.
Room was clean and comfortable. No problem checking in or out. Did not have any noise related issues and everything worked as it should.

United States of AmericaThis is a very small hotel, the lobby is small and does not offer much. This is a dated building that has had some minor upgrades. This is not a Holiday Inn Express or even comparable. The elevator was a little slow and on the smaller side. The hallway smelled like vomit. ( old carpet). The rooms were a bit dated and could have used some minor attention like paint and new fixtures. The bed was not the most comfortable. Very basic thinner mattress. However the room was very clean. The kitchen provides a microwave, full sink, mini fridge, single cook electric cook tip and plenty of cabinets. However dishes and cooking utensils are not included. Hotel offered a small fridge with drinks (cash only). I did not see any vending machines. If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place. If you are looking for a clean affordable to spend the night, this is sufficient.
Location was easy to get to, staff was super super friendly. Easy check in/check out process. Great price. Room was very clean and ready upon arrival. The room did look like the pictures. Our room had a king bed and kitchen (microwave, full sink, single electric cooktop and mini fridge) There was some gated parking available. That was based on a first come first serve basis. There was street parking also available. There is a gas station across the street. I would stay here again. This hotel offered what I needed, a clean room and bathroom.

United States of AmericaAlthough there is a no smoking sign, the hallways smell after smoke. I had to switch a room because the room smelled of smoke/weed. The essentials in the rooms could be upgraded - to include a free bar soap instead of moisturizer, so one can wash their hands..

CanadaThere was parking for only 7 vehicles. One night I came back from a function at 1am and had to drive around for 2 hours until a spot became available. Additionally, the check in/check out took over 20 minutes and the hotel needed upkeep.

United States of AmericaOverwhelming smell of Marijuana in the elevator, hallways, and room. I'm certain not the fault of the hotel. Just not cool with my minor in tow. I specifically asked the hotel via the booking app if I could check in early (11 or 12) and the reply was that I could. When I got there, the front desk said I couldn't. Although, they did let me book in at 1 instead of 2 of which I'm very grateful. My son said he could hear moaning through the wall while I was in the shower and there was a list at the front counter of hourly rates for rooms... although this was a good experience, I won't bring a minor to this facility again.
Bed, room, sheets, shower, cleanliness, and parking...they had a parking spot!!! Fabulous after getting a $69.00 parking ticket from not remembering what day it was because I'd flown in on the redeye and hadn't slept for days.Great location! Close to groceries and food! Hunan K Chinese was awesome!

FinlandIt's a 24/7 reception, but not 24/7 check-in, so if you're arriving late, confirm the late check-in in advance! The general areas are clean, but I found other people's hair in my bed sheets. Also the room is cold despite the heater, and the bathroom even colder. No soap in the bathroom. In the room on the ground floor I could hear constant door slamming and therefore didn't feel completely safe.
It's a good budget option if you need a place for one night before or after a flight (LGA/JFK). I ended up staying longer due to a flight cancellation. Also the place is worth considering, if you want an ensuite hotel room with reasonable price and don't mind taking the subway to and from Manhattan. Subway station in Woodside (line 7) is about a 10-minute walk away. The staff is nice and friendly.
