Location is perfect if you seek some tranquility. Clean room, friendly staff. Plenty of vegan food options. Amenities were in large bottles - plus point for sustainability.

There is 2 roads to get to the place, but one of them was closed, maps said it was open, to reconfirm I contacted the property and been said it was open, when we were just 20’ away, ROAD CLOSED(west entrance), it was more than 1h drive from main road, so lost 3h to go around, but no apologies or nothing for miscommunication. Wifi is very slow but it’s understandable given location far from everything, so stores or gas, everything is at least 1h drive. At least TV would’ve been nice since there is no much entertainment on site.

So it is quiet mind place, very peaceful and quiet, far from everything and everyone, perfect to disconnect. Breakfast was tasty, no big variety tho. Beautiful surroundings.

A cosy wooden lodge, just a few feet away from the river - you can hear the rapids, but once the door is shut nothing disturbed the sleep. Very hearty breakfast with a selection of cereal, porridge, yoghurt, eggs (omelette or hard boiled), fruit and a selection of breads (including bagels and cream cheese). Do note, that there is no cell coverage in the area, so download your maps just in case, but it’s just one road from Lake Isabella, so finding a place shouldn’t be a problem. Wi-Fi on the property is good, so you will have connection once you’ve checked in.

If you want to visit the Sequoia National Park it will be very far in the winter with roads closed

While we truly loved everything about our experience, some may be a little challenged by the remoteness of the location. Quiet Mind is 10+ miles up a winding country road from the nearest (small) town. It is in Sequoia National Forest, but during the winter the road to the north closes and access to Sequoia National Park requires a long drive. It's also worth noting that this is a remote, historic property, so things we found charming (like the old growth redwood ceilings and panelling) may seem "outdated" to other guests.

Breakfast was delicious and similar to what you find in many European lodgings. They offer a tasty, mostly homemade selection of items for both breakfast and on their dinner/room service menu, including a fantastic apple pie straight from the oven. The beds were very comfortable, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. We really enjoyed the relaxing environment and being surrounded by the beauty of nature. It's hard to beat seeing and hearing a waterfall just outside your room, and there are several gorgeous spots within a 10 minute hike from your room (see photos).

It’s a lovely place in the middle of Sequoia National forest. It’s a great getaway if you want some peace and quiet away from everything. There’s a lovely river passing through the property. The nearest town is at least 30 min away. Because I went during winter time, part of the forest ahead was closed so to get to Sequoia National park it was a much longer driver. Just a heads up about that. Unfortunately I had to leave a day earlier due to a work emergency. They were very accommodating with my situation. I will definitely be back. They also had an amazing apple pie, and everything was very clean. The staff was very nice.

The room could have used a clothing rack to hang up coats ect., due there was no closet space in the room we had. Also, the hostess walked us into our room which we thought was a little different but maybe it's just an added special touch they prefer to do that we are not accustomed to.

If you are looking for a Rustic, Peaceful, off the grid Moutain getaway look no further. A beautiful quaint piece of property right on the river in one of our favorite areas of California. We thoroughly enjoyed the quietness. Our room was cute with added special touches and pretty comfortable with most the amenities needed for our overnight stay. We even loved the fact that there is no TV in their rooms. They offer DVD's, book and board games you can use in the Lobby area. If you are looking to disconnect and get in touch with Nature this is the perfect place to accomplish that with there being no cell service. You can hear the sound of the water in the river flowing in the room which we loved. Wished we had another day to stay and explore. We will definitely be back!

There wasn’t sufficient window/door coverage to keep out light in mornings for a longer sleep. The bathroom could use updating but it fits the vibe of the space

The location is serene. The staff is warm. The meal was delicious. I appreciated being in the main space bc I was with my son and it was cold. It was nice not to have to leave once we arrived.

Wonderful breakfast sit-down and chance to talk with guests and staff. Cabin was super comfortable with everything needed. Sound of stream outside was super soothing. Opportunity to hike or just sit and enjoy the deck behind cabin near the water.

The only negative is that I could only spend 1 night.

I usually don't write reviews but this place stood out on my recent cross-country road trip. This unique property is off the the beaten path in a very peaceful and beautiful setting. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff friendly. Katie was great and greeted me as soon as I got out of my car and went out of her way to make me feel welcomed. Definitely recommend.
