Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe location is honestly in a sketchy area, which I did not expect from the reviews so beware. We had a mini fridge in our room, but it barely got our waters to below room temperature. The "blankets" on the bed were two paper-thin sheets. The shower is also visible to the whole room, so not a whole lot of privacy there. Check in is at 3pm, with no exceptions, but they will hold your luggage for you.
The hotel was extremely close to the MTA Line 1 subway, which was definitely convenient. There's a Target also within walking distance for any last minute grocery items you need. The room was clean and the staff were nice. The price was also reasonable for NYC, and the interior of the hotel is decorated very nicely.

AustraliaLack of noise insulation from hallway
Great value, room was good for 1 person may be tight with 2 people. Comfortable and clean. Some noise from people walking by on hallway. Fabulous breakfast. Had an issue with the desk light - have a staff member attend with straight away.

GermanyThe area is neither the nicest, nor the safest. We were a family and were always together, but for a smaller group or girls traveling by themselves, a complete no no. Honestly, I was surprised to find such a nice hotel in such a shady neighbourhood. There is also a lack of storage, we had to store our luggage under the beds, which was a bit dusty.
The hotel itself is very nice, clean, it has coffee at the reception, nicely decorated. The cleaning ladies are doing a very good job, they cleaned daily and tried to keep the room as tidy as possible. They accepted to store our luggage on the day we left, after we checked out, as we had a late flight. And we appreciated that. There is a restaurant close to the reception area, they have also the breakfast option, but we found it a bit overpriced. Close to the subway. Also close to several bakeries and supermarkets.

GermanyThe hotel is located quite far north of Manhattan Island. However, there is a subway station close-by, which allows you to reach the city relatively quickly.
A very nice hotel in Manhattan with clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a modern interior!

GermanyThere was no cooker for water but we get hot water by the reception. Sometimes there comes a bit cold air from the window in the night.
The bed was very comfortable. We loved the view out of the 10th floor. The area is sometimes a bit sketchy but it’s Upper Manhattan and you need just a few streets or stations for having a great atmosphere.

My last day, I had breakfast at Jalao. My main issue was there was only pork to choose from. I don't eat pork so I didn't have many filling options. The room was gorgeous. I describe it as an upscale dorm room.

United States of Americathe location is VERY intimidating. The train is about a 8 minute walk and LORD did we see some situations while walking to the train. There was druggies and a man that had his whole face BEAT and bloody. Just be careful when walking.
The people were nice, check in was good. Hotel restaurant is good as well. Rooms have no microwave and the minifridge didn't work, they said they would fix it, but it never got fixed.

United States of AmericaThe hotel was very well kept and aesthetically pleasing. The atmosphere was very bright and colorful and the staff did a great job with theming the space for the holidays. The room itself was smaller than expected but fulfilled every need and was well laid out. The window facing the city was amazing and made for unforgettable views at every point of the day.

PortugalHotel location means an average 40 minute commute by subway to the main attractions (but you have a subway station very close to the hotel. We would still choose comfort over centrality any day!). A smaller detail but the coffee of the "Grab and Go" near the frontdesk was not so great (watery and not hot enough).
Absolutely loved the smart space saving, industrial-scandinavian design of the room which also included a really nice private hot shower. I personally love no carpet floors on hotels as it feels more hygienic and hypoallergenic. The hotel also provided free wifi, 24h reception, gym, restaurant and a bar. The price/quality you get is very affordable when compared with hotels closer to the main attractions. There's a really cool Dominican/NY vibe not very often seen which added a lot of character to the hotel.

United States of AmericaThe only thing my sister and I would have liked in the room would be a coffee maker of some sort, but at least the option of purchasing coffee at the front desk worked as a backup for our early morning coffee. I noticed the rates double in the spring and summer, so it may not be affordable for me then.
The location was very convenient for me to visit my family and to get to other places in the city by train or bus.The rooms were so modern and clean. The beds were very comfortable and nice bathroom and shower. The staff greeting you at the door and front desk were so friendly and helpful. I will definitely make that my place to stay when I visit NY(which is frequently).
