Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of Americaincluded breakfast was great- Good variety, but very straight forward buffet style. Rooms were updated, clean, and modern. Assortment of bath/body products and other grooming ammenities were top-notch. Garment steamer in the room was a great bonus. Slippers and bathrobe were a nice touch, and the private patio area was a great spot for morning coffee.

United States of AmericaFrom arrival to departure the staff of the Cottages in all areas, breakfast room, housekeeping and front desk were extremely friendly & professional. Breakfast was most satisfying and offered something for every appetite. The Jura coffee machine (available 24/7) is one of, if not the best available. My room was spacious, beautifully equipped in the style of a French boutique hotel..fluffy towels, fine bath amenities and a small private garden thru the sliding doors. A true refuge.

CanadaWe stayed for five nights and could have stayed longer.
A fabulous hotel near Menlo Park. An unassuming entrance off El Camino leads into an oasis of comfort and top-notch service. The rooms have been beautifully updated - ours had a lovely private, outdoor patio. The pool, gym and grounds are immaculate. Breakfast (included) is outstanding. And the small touches, like a readily-available coffee machine, ice water and chocolate bowl in the lobby, and free laundry take it over the top. Do yourself a favour - look no further if you’re looking to stay in an extraordinary boutique hotel in this area.

United States of AmericaThe aircon, which we used for heating, (re)starts each time with a loud clank/bang noise. Then, it remains relatively loud while operating, and due to its positioning on the floor seems to aspire-in and lift-up some fine dust, which may be an issue if one is allergy (or similar) sensitive. We got used to it, but it was the only item that was out of sync with an otherwise perfect, absolutely perfect, room.
Newly redone, it seems architecturally designed, tastefully decorated, and with nice materials and finishing touches. Good quality bedding and towels (not branded, but on par with Marriott), large TV, excellent water pressure, fast and stable wi-fi. It felt spacious, possibly in part due to the room's high ceiling. It was perfectly quiet, most likely because the rooms are well sound-insulated (caveat: cannot be 100% sure because the adjacent rooms seemed empty). The overall feeling was of better quality than in the pictures, meeting and exceeding expectations. Although some of the front desk staff seemed new and unsure of what they could or couldn't do, or how, (we had an unusual request), everyone was polite, nice, and they tried to be helpful. Wholeheartedly recommended, thank you for an excellent stay!

United States of AmericaHmmm... not really sure what could have been improved on. I will point out that there was no bathtub in our room. Only a shower. But it was of a nice size and had the "rainfall" shower head as well as a handheld shower wand.
This is a gem of a hotel in Menlo Park, CA. Was in town for a Stanford football game. Hotel is located a couple miles down the street from the school. Very convenient! The room was super clean and comfortable, and had a little, private patio seating area that faced the pool. (Room #2). Keurig machine in the room was nice and had Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf pods of coffee as well as tea. Breakfast was very good with a choice of omelets, sausages, etc. Cups of fruit, toast, muffins, bagels, cereal, and oatmeal. One of the coolest things is the coffee machine in the lobby which will make lattes, espressos, cappuccino, etc. I will not stay anywhere else whenever I head that way. The grounds are lovely and are decorated for the holidays in a nice, understated way.

United States of AmericaHonestly nothing.
We couldn’t have hoped for a more perfect everything! I can’t say enough and have been constantly raving about this place. The exterior, grounds, room, location, breakfast, and staff. Thank you and God bless you for obviously not cutting any corners and giving such excellence and at such a fair price. We also very much appreciated that there were no bs additional charges for parking or “resort fees,” and a wonderful European style complimentary breakfast. Bravo on restoring my hope that there actually ARE still businesses that care and strive to make something truly good. We felt very happy to be there, comfortable, and welcome. Please don’t change.
