Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Staff was nice

It shows a lot of wear and tear. Really could use an update. Holes in the bedding, chair back was shredded. The toilet seat had bumps and appeared to be painted. Great location. Needs tlc.

housekeeping should come on a daily basis to check to see if you need toilet paper and trash bags, and clean towels.
beds are comfy, have privacy, calm, quiet, nice area is around stores and restaurants.

We needed a handicapped room and I felt it was very small. I had a hard time moving my dad around in the room. I had to manover the wheelchair around in the corner to turn him around. It definitely needs to be larger if they are going to have 2 queen bedding this room. We also had ants but when I let them know they came in immediately and sprayed and wiped up any excess liquid that was on the floor.
The front desk person was very nice and helpful. The bathroom was in the room was roomy and the shower was big enough for the shower chair that was provided.

Facilities are dated, the power outlets in the room were loose my phone charger would barely stay plugged in. Hot tub was boarded up, sauna was out of order.
It was very clean and very quiet. Staff was very nice. First time I have ever had a grab and go breakfast, thought it was clever. They pack a sac breakfast with good options and plenty of food and you just grab a bag out of the fridge.

The beds were very uncomfortable, but it was a cheap hotel so I can't complain too much about it. While we were there the pool and hot tub were unfortunately closed but those are things I can live without.
The staff was very friendly and the rooms themselves were cleaned well and had good space.

Our room was clean but didn’t smell very good.
I liked the price and easy access in and out. Breakfast was bagged and easy to pick up.

Trash removed from can near outside door ( was often overflowing).
Good coffee, juice, and fruit! They serve a much better breakfast than many other places.

An elevator to reach the 2nd floor would have been nice as I have trouble with stairs, but all in all, we were happy with our stay.
The staff was friendly and professional. The room was clean and the property was well kept. Being so close to the highway we were a bit worried about noise, but it was very quiet. The Grab n Go sack breakfasts were a great bonus. Lots of goodies in them! Our pets were welcomed without over the top fees. We will certainly let our dog show friends know about Red Lion whenever they show in the area. We will be back!

Wasn't told I had to have a separate kept to get in pool area,another guest told us. Jaccuzi was down, but booking didn't say it was and pool was extremely cold.... no heat at all.....mo towels either.

Rooms were very noisy, heard neighbors all the time. Plastic louvered shades were broken in several places, not only let in too much light, but people could see in. Arrived at 12:45am, no one was at the counter. I yelled hellos 3x's, finally went outside and rang the handicap buzzer and got a response. Check out was the same, only no one ever came to help me.
Nothing I couldn't get at a gas station. But it was more convenient than gas station
