The toilet seat was broken they was a little black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. The electrical at the mirror for hair dryer didn’t work

I’ve left some pretty positive reviews of Red Roof Inns we’ve stayed at during past road trips, finding them modest but affordable, clean, and comfortable. However, not this time. We stayed in two Red Roof Inn hotels on this road trip: Red Roof Inn Savannah - Richmond Hill I-95 and Red Roof Inn Chapel Hill-UNC. Both are rundown. Neither is being maintained or generally cared for. It's really a shame. Stained bed covers in both hotels. Very noticeable paw prints on the sheets in the Chapel Hill hotel, and large burn-holes in the bedding in the Savannah-Richmond Hill hotel. Tell me, how could a housekeeper miss these things? None of the door locks at the Red Roof Inn Chapel Hill worked. No batteries in the smoke alarm on the ceiling at the Savannah-Richmond Hill hotel (we knew this as the cover was off). Metal on chairs and light fixtures is rusting. Crumbs everywhere. Overall, the rooms in these two hotels felt incredibly grimy. I’d think long and hard before staying at a Red Roof Inn again.

The keys never seemed to work very well and it was hard to get in and out of. The tv felt impossible to use and none of the remote buttons seemed to work as intended. Everything was a bit run down feeling and looking.

The room was very shabby. The towels were old. The hand towel still had make up on it. The bathtub had soap left from the last guest.the refrigerator door was busted and did not cool my drinks.

My stay was fine. It would be better if someone did a little work in the room. The shower handle and the grab bar are loose. I never got the clock to work. The water is reversed so hot is on the left and cold is on the right. The staff was helpful. For the night we were there, it was convenient and worthwhile.

Reasonable rates. Close to where I needed to be the next morning.

The Inn was undergoing renovations at the time of my stay, so I feel I can't give a fair judgement here. Things are always going to be a bit different when you are having to work around a renovation. I applaud them for doing so and making everything as simple and comfortable as possible for guests!

Check in went smoothly even given that the Inn is currently undergoing some renovations in their lobby. The room was very clean and comfortable. When travelling, I don't need a lot of extra frills, so this was everything it needed to be!

Roaches..

TV reception died right when rain starts.

If you get put in room 101 it means they don't trust you. I won't rebook with them. I only go to the area because I HAVE to go to Chapel Hill hospital. Not clean

The carpet that was under the bed and hanging out from under the bed on the sides of the bed on the floor that carpet needed to be vacuumed also in the bathroom the bathwater when taking a shower the water was going down very slow it needs to be plunged or put some Draino in the tub to drain it so then the water can go down faster when you take a shower or bath.

The beds were very uncomfortable and there was a musty smell like mold or mildew..apparent blood spots on the floor and ceiling stained comforter and an inch of dust on the headboard of one of the beds wasn't worth the money

The room key card did not work at first and I had to walk back down the stairs to the office and I was not happy about it. Then the people next door was loud and I smelled a strong odor of Marijuana.
