Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Problems gettin commode fixed to flush. Desk staff did not keep us informed about what was going on. I finally told them to forget it because we were going to bed. I fixed it where it would flush. Desk staff in the morning didn’t seem interested in my opinion on the room.

The toilet seat was broken, so it would pinch you if you didn't cover it before sitting down. The floor and bathroom door were nasty, I had to ask for towels to shower with.
Great location, it's within walking distance to several places to eat.

The room smelled like stale cigarettes the linen smelled like smoke and the bathroom was not very cleaned
Awful location to noisy gas station right next door all we heard all night was people squaling tires leaving the gas station and the other tenants around us was loud and the trash truck coming at 5 a.m. was uncalled for

The management. Circumstances changed and I had to depart early. He was not willing to refund the remainder of the stay. Instead he offered excuses as to why he couldn’t do it.

The housekeepers come in your room during the stay without permission from the clients to replace towels and such, it is an unacceptable practice. To boot there is no option for a do not disturb door hanger or sign either. This invasion of privacy was offensive.
The woman who worked the morning desk is awesome and super helpful. The bed was great and desk useful.

The door didn't lock right. Someone walked about midnight. I had to get my key card fixed twice and the women at front desk acted like she was mad about it. Also the second day I came back from work and the door was open. Nothing was missing. You had to slam the door to get it to lock.
Breakfast was cold. The waffle iron wad broken

The one morning I went to breakfast at a very early hour, there were very noisy construction workers trying to engage me in conversation. I just wanted to take my cereal, toast and coffee back to my room to eat in peace and quiet but the front desk person wouldn't let me. My trip last month was during a dangerous heat wave and a bad time to be there. The outside commons areas were not well maintained; many vending machines were not working. And the one time it was quiet enough to finally go to the pool a family with rambunctious children suddenly invaded.
The younger man who checked me in was very nice and helpful and found me another room when the first one didn't work out. The other men at the front desk were not so nice.

For one, the shower had some black grit in it. The bed had a thin blanket, no real comforter. Breakfast choices were lame, and Friday night drove up and some suspect looking groups of men all over the building across from mine. Had to pretend someone was in the room and knock so they wouldn’t think I was there alone. Rooms are right by the parking lot which makes it difficult to sleep.
I liked the location, very convenient to a lot of things and liked it was close to the highway

Rude staff, just one staff member that was rude. Told me he wasn't gonna give deposit back for there mistakes. Had me wait till he was done with his morning duties to figure out what I needed. He then checked the room I guess and then came back and gave me a deposit. And mind you I have had surgery on my knee. There was also no breakfast or coffee as they say on website.

In room microwave was missing the turn plate so we couldn’t use it… we stayed 8 nights total and “Choice” refused to grant us a free night as the current promotion indicated “stay two nights and get a night free” Ridiculous and seemed like a scam!

We were given a room key that already had someone in it, had to wait almost an hour for them to find us a other room. No apologies, no courtesy, nothing. Check in took forever and they argued that what I was quoted on booking.com was like 65 cents less than what they charge. I ended up having to pay over $200 for 2 star hotel for one night. 10 out of 10 don't recommend this location. I know we won't be returning.

Not clean and smelled bad. Also looked like a bad crowd to stay with.
I did not stay at the property and was charged for 1 night so I am not happy with the end result.
