Had trouble locking the sliding glass door and the decor could use a touch up.

The room I stayed in , the heater didn't work. The front desk offered to change rooms. I decided to stay were I was at. The reffrigerater froze drinks even after it was turned down.

the breakfast was given daily and had plenty of choices to pick from , the coffee was hot which was good. I enjoyed having choices to pick from from the breakfast area.

I chose the hotel because of the 4 out of 5 rating. The rooms had a moldy/musty smell, our bathroom sink was slow to drain, and the glass doors were ruined. Someone needs to be more creative with the breakfast menu. Good signage .

It smelled like cigarettes and illegal substances because people were smoking outside and the AC brought all smells inside.

I loved the sliding door to the outdoor parking, although it is pointless when going anywhere to exit through due to not being able to lock it behind you.

I booked a two bed room but got 1 bed with a sleeping sofa which didn’t have bedding. Staff would have moved me to the room I booked but there were no other rooms available and I had had to accept a smoking room to get 2 beds and still didn’t get them.

No latch-lock on glass slider. No TV remote.

Place was clean and comfortable. No TV remote was available. Continental breakfast was average, hot, and kept supplied. Staff was very nice. My sliding glass door did not have a latch-lock on it; but, it did have a removable crossbar in place. I opted to spend my second night at LaQuinta in downtown Jamestown.

What I did not like is that Booking.com did not provide the booking information for the hotel. And when I tried to call the Booking.com help center I was hung up on. The assistant manager at the site contacted the booking. com and tried to resolve the issue. Even though the hotel did not have my booking info I showed them the printout of the confirmation and a room was provided. It was a very stressful situation given that we were in the midst of a snowstorm.

One staff member knocked on the door was not pleasant at all when I opened it and demanded I go pay for another day for staying past check out … I booked ahead of time for the two nights , she had the wrong room number … I was kind but it made me uncomfortable that she was very snarky and rude when she was the wrong one .

Accommodating , the private outside entrance from the room , was clean , the staff doesn’t seem to be very inviting just there to do their job I guess.

The rooms felt damp… especially the carpet. The bathrooms were not very clean and needed repair. The sliding door lock didn’t work, but there was a bar that dropped down to secure it.

The staff was friendly and it was a good location.
