Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Very much needs to be updated Breakfast was sparse and NOT ALLOWED to return to my room with food. Room smelled of cigarette smoke, when I complained they covered with Frebreeze.

The ad said pet friendly, they failed to say $25 per night per dog. I had two small dogs with me, and was charged $150.00 above and beyond the normal room rate.
The staff were nice, and friendly, they provided all requests made from them, even if it took a while, then they apologized for the wait.

The hotel was off the beaten path. It was hard to determine if it was even open. Staff outside smoking. No one inside to greet. We had trouble paying for our room. Needed to use two credit cards to make it work. The advertisement pictures of the motel are not realistic.
Our room was comfortable, we slept fine. If you are looking for a no-frills motel, this fits the bill.

The location was questionable as well as neighborhood/people. property was outdated and dirty. cobwebs in corners, carpet.. there are no words, tv wouldn’t connect on second night, pool/hot tub looked green? gathering in the parking lot until after midnight and hotel didn’t do anything about it. The garbage can is located next to the door so you had that to smell upon entering and exiting.
The front desk staff were nice. The breakfast guy was exceptional and on top of cleaning area and restocking. he was super sweet and working really hard!

The pool was very COLD freezing cold, and the Hot Tub was warm not hot. From 1am to 5am there was banging loud music running from the room above us. We couldn't call the front desk because the phone in our room did not work. Very disappointing 😞
The beds were comfortable. The manager let was move one of our rooms so they were side by side. The breakfast was very good.

Update flooring. Smelled awful inside rooms. Cleanliness needs much improvement. Update pool flooring and hot tub flooring. Pool and hot tub are very small.
The bed was comfortable. The room was not cleaned well. The pool was pretty gross looking. Definitely needs to be updated in this place. Area the hotel is at is pretty run down looking. Google maps did not bring me to the correct location at all. Had to turn around and go back. Looks very much like a run down city motel.

The hallways were dark and the hallway carpet looked dirty. The bathroom ceiling needed repairs. There were transient people hanging around doorways. They were there when we checked in and in the morning when we left. We felt a bit unsafe.
We had a family suite, which appeared to be 2 rooms combined into the suite. The updates were great. The breakfast room also looked updated. The lady who did checkin was friendly. She was training but did a fantastic job.

Some things were in general disrepair in our room. The hot tub jets weren't working and the tiles were chipped. I had to ask to turn off the exhaust in the pool room because it was making a deafening sound! The price was too high for the state of the rooms and facilities.
The location wasn't bad for softball tournaments we were there for. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was typical continental with cereal, fruit, toast, waffles and yogurt.

There's no elevator, it was extremely over priced, needs remodeled. The carpet is nasty. Was like $200 for 1 night and I have stayed at comparable hotels for like $80 a night.

the Room smelled of mold and wet carpet. something in the room activated my allergies so it could of had mold. bed was a bit stiff. vent in bathroom needed cleaning as well as the air conditioner filter. didn’t seem like the best location as far as riff raff walking around. there were two giant craters in the main drive to get to the parking lot.
great location. good choice in breakfast. shower had good pressure and was clean.
