Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaMy only complaint besides valet being 60/night was that at night it was loud in the rooms. There didn’t seem to be much insulation. Doors closing vibrated in the room. I could hear conversations. Outside noises were heard as well.
The staff was exceptional. Everyone was nice and extremely attentive. I travel a lot. This staff was definitely one of the best.

United States of AmericaNone that I could think of.
The property is conveniently located, half way to the marina district and little Italy . There are plenty of places to get coffee and food. The rooms are bright and tastefully decorated. I particularly liked the seat window cushion to sit on and relax in the room. The bed was comfortable. The room provided complimentary keriug and bottled water. There is also a nice bar in lobby and a outdoor terrace with a bar and food. I ordered a crab cake slider that was excellent.

AustraliaWould’ve been nice to know when we booked the room that it’s right next to a construction site 🙃 But it was good apart from the fact I thought I was on a building site at 2am working the hammer drill
Location was good, the cleanliness was great. Bed was comfy and I loved San Diego

PolandCheck in experience, i got too many confusing information about charges that apply (diffrent from the one s on my booking.com confirmations,) usually you give credit card as guarantee without blocking any deposit but this hotel blocks 100 usd per night as guarantee for incidentals which combined with information about destination taxes and its uses made me very uncomforable about the final amount i would pay, + charges for wifi unless you are within bonvoy marriott programm i enrolled and could avoid internet charges, but overall i find this checking very confusing, of course i was tired after flight but i used to be tourism professional contracting hotels and never had similar situation, i clarified everything the next days and i have impressions the staff was very cautious then as i paid attention to all details and insited on them explaing me better all charges and final amount

United States of AmericaThe location was great, however it is close to a few places that felt a little unsafe. I would recommend carrying a crossbody instead of a shoulder bag. Other than that, the hotel itself and the staff are wonderful!
The staff was very accommodating and was very quick with services. The location was also perfect as we were able to get around by feet to most of the places we wanted to visit (although it may be a little unsafe to walk alone/during the evening). The bar was also lovely! We were able to take a glass of wine to-go to our room and relax after a long day out. It was also very easy to grab Lyfts and Ubers.

VietnamBad room shower head need to be upgraded. It is a bit dated and not user-friendly. We are to take extra effort to avoid water from flashing out to the room. The water pressure from the overhead shower is not right in our opinion.

SwitzerlandParking 50+ USD is a joke.. public parking on the street right in front of the hotel is 1.25$ per hour (max 2 hours), and free at night and on Sundays - no safety concerns. Windows are outright dirty (from outside) and need more frequent cleaning. I hate it when hotels charge separately for room, 'destination' charge, Internet.. it's a scam and everybody knows it: Please just make it a gross room price, that's it. Pricing has become so complex that I found the cheapest rate on booking.com - which breaks the Marriott "promise" of showing lowest fares in the Bonvoy app, which was not the case here (also for other guests). Lounge systematically closed when mgmt. saves money on staff (if too few status guests are in the building, they just don't open it).
Location is awesome. Rooms are nice, building is pretty silent/sound proof (room next to elevator and never heard it, very limited noise from hallway/other rooms). Staff super friendly - recognized my Elite status upon check-in and gave upgrade even though I had booked through booking.com, not the Bonvoy app. That also gave us free breakfast and welcome drinks - exceeding expectations.

United States of AmericaThe shower...Water took forever to warm up, over 10 min and the rain shower head is not my favorite. Around the sink there was some mildew as well as in the shower. Beds were comfy but the pillows very flat and firm. I did not care for the staff at the rooftop bar. We went 3 nights in a row and they were not even remotely busy but did not give good service. It was slow and not the most friendly.
Loved the location!! Easy walking to Gaslamp and Little Italy! Even the waterfront! Also Liked the quietness of the room, nothing load around us. Staff at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful.

The bed was super comfy! And the hotel is very cute. They had security guards out front to keep homeless people away, so it felt super safe. It was very clean and the Topside restaurant was a nice place to have brunch.
