Great value for the money in great location; walk to downtown restaurants

Persistent repeated difficulties with room thermostat, which malfunctioned every two or three hours. Fixing it required maintenance staff to go onto the roof to reset, but there was no maintenance staff overnight or on weekends. Fortunately, the weather cooperated, so it was not a major problem with temperature between 65 and 75. Mattress was really soft and within 1 foot of the edge one felt like one was about to slide off. As is often the case, cleaning etc was only every other day and pretty minimal. Breakfast ends at 9:30.

Excellent price and location and helpful and friendly staff. Free coffee morning noon and night. Decent breakfast for the price (self-cook waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, dry cereal, etc.) Big fridge and stove top. TV swiveled to face either couch or bed.

I thought the bar prices were somewhat high.

The breakfast was fine, especially as it was included in the rate.

Bed, TV and kitchen were very nice. The van driver, Will Smith, was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable.

Breakfast limited in choice and quality (coffee was really bad). Having to ask everyday for rooms to be served is a nuisance, furthermore when not getting them served even having asked (several times). Whilst in the booking form parking is announced as free, the hotel charges parking per day (US$ 12). The price for the room in Duke university move-in days is outrageous.

Very comfortable rooms, quiet and with plenty of space. All looking new and in good shape. Having kitchen amenities is very convenient, especially the fridge. Location was very convenient, close to Duke university and to downtown Durham.

The breakfast could always be a bit better, and I prefer to not pay for parking. Otherwise it was great.

The rooms had everything we could need, kitchenette, great beds, efficient use of space. The facility also offered breakfast which was more than adequate, and there is a gym and pool that we did not make use of. The staff was great!

Some shaky characters in the neighborhood but hotel can't control that. Shower floor extremely slippery, should put some kind of non-skid material. Bathroom has no exhaust fan. With limited Housekeeping services due to Covid - please stock room with additional towels without guests having to ask, though they are available if requested. Facilities/Maintenance can work on some details to keep everything in working order to maintain the grounds and rooms that add to the overall feel and value to the guest experience.

We have stayed here over the past few years while our son attended Duke and it is always a great stay. Outstanding location, next to East Campus, walkable to downtown restaurants - and for a late night treat - cross the street to Insomnia Cookies - amazing! Hotel is a good value, includes complimentary breakfast, on-site laundry, good-size room, kitchenette, small fitness center, ample parking, friendly staff. There are fancier (and pricier) options nearby, but for value - you can't go wrong staying here,

Across the street from a very busy train line with many trains blasting their horns late at night and very early in the morning. In addition there are some local bars across the street with many loud patrons walking around. There are also many very loud motorcycles and cars revving their engines from 11-1 on Friday and Saturday night. Also there was a gun shot murder on the street near the food truck lot directly across the street around midnight. College student parents should be concerned that this all happens a block from East Campus and their kids walk by this type of environment.

    Comfortable room with nice amenities

The cleaning is reduced to being done every other day and consists of only changing the towels and taking the rubbish out. There is no duvet cover just a duvet and a flat sheet in place of a proper duvet cover The breakfast finishes some time at or before 9.30 so I never made it on time for that No kettle to make tea in the room

The size of the room Location while not in the downtown area but close to it as well as Duke University Quiet location and the room was quiet too
