Great location, great staff, but rooms are disappointing.

The only reason I am giving a lower score was the rooms desperately need an update. For the $$$$, I would have expected something a little less old and tired.

The STAFF!! They were amazing. Friendly, helpful, and so welcoming. The young lady at the front desk, I should have gotten her name, was one of the nicest front desk clerks I have ever encountered. We were early, and it wasn’t an issue at all.

The rooms weren't that much sound proof. I can hear neighbors slamming doors and people talking in the other rooms.

What I like the most about my stays was the location of hotel, the bed was very comfortable, and the amenities were great!

Breakfast was adequate. For me it was monotonous as the menu is same for all day. For short term travelers it may not be an issue.

The location is very close to the eateries and to the San Diego convention centre. Room was big and have all the facilities we require. A less expensive and comfortable option comparing many nearby hotels.

Great hotel, central to explore the city by trolley, with friendly staff, nice room accomodation.

The only comment would be the noise you could hear during the evening, especially the one coming from a club (boom boom vibrating noise), but after midnight it was quiet Maybe a little bit expensive for the room

The location of the hotel, in the center of a dynamic area, 5min walk from the trolley station, making it super convenient to explore then the city. Also 10min walk from the Sea side through the Convention Center stairs, great to admire the lights from Coronado Island at night time. The people at the front desk were very helpful during my stay: Monnet helped me to shape a one-day-discovery trip & advise me with yummy restaurants (loved La Puerta and went twice!), Raleigh helped me to find super shop Ralphs so i could come back to France with yummy american foods I liked also the set up of the room with the kitchen/table area, which allowed me to dine my "on the go" food as standing alone in a restaurant would not have been fun at all

Our first visit to SD & expected more activity around Gaslamp area. Very quiet for a tourist location and no shopping areas close by.

The outrageously expensive parking for guests. We found another place to park down the street where we paid less than $20 rather than $60.

I really appreciated that the hotel included breakfast! The rooms were spacious enough, comfortable and practical given that it had a kitchenette. The location was excellent. Close to everything.

We could barely see or hear the small tv laying in bed. The pool is unusually small and there is no spa, which we would have preferred over the pool. The bathroom sink clogged up on us. They charged us double ($120) for parking 2 motorcycles in 1 spot that we had to challenge, twice. But they ended up refunding us in the end, so all is good.

The hotel itself was perfect! Very clean, quiet, comfortable. The check-in hosts were very pleasant to deal with in person. Location was great, everywhere we wanted to go was within walking distance. Breakfast was nice.

The mattress felt like it needed to be updated

Great location! Everything is walkable. I like that the hotel is a little old fashioned with friendly staff and helpful valets. The breakfast is not mind blowing but it was good and the coffee was excellent. It’s very nice to have a kitchenette in the room. The view of San Diego Bay is breathtaking.
