We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Elevators were rough shape and the shaft way backed up to our rooms I was loud, hard to sleep
Property was in good shape. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Pool and gym were small. We had a two room suite it was perfect for our family

Sofa bed was a bit springy. Other than that, everything else was fantastic. Would stay again.

The warm breakfast was not appealing. For instance the bacon was overcooked and crumbled in my hands. The hours were a bit different as in on the earlier side.
I liked the reserved pool hours and not too many ppl at once. I liked the small snack bar with varies items.

The sofa bed was uncomfortable and we could feel the metal springs. We did request extra blankets and they provided us that and I used it to cover the mattress more.
The location was absolutely perfect. It was 6 minutes away from American Dream Mall which was where we booked all of our activities so that was great. The staff were all super helpful and friendly. Housekeeping did a fantastic job as well. The breakfast buffet was good with plenty of options. Everything was well maintained and clean as well.

Would not give me late check out even though o tried to request it when I arrived I was told to ask next day, then I asked day of and was told they had already given out all the late check outs they could 🤷🏻♀️. Also they threaten to charge you extra if you don’t put your dishes in the dishwasher to wash BEFORE you check out and they have to do it!!

The neighborhood is basically a industrial complex. The hotel can't choose that but there is nothing in the area to see - you have to go from the hotel to your destination
Great people in the hotels welcoming and efficient. Treated with respect and honesty. Good room near where I was going (american dream), and it was largely quiet. Great breakfast

It's not in Manhattan, but you can easily get to NYC by bus. The bus stop is in front of the hotel, even if there's no sidewalk to reach it.
When I want to visit NYC, I book this hotel. Rooms are large, very cozy, and clean. They come with a kitchenette. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is fine with lots of choices, even if it could be improve with pancakes or waffles. Staff is great.

Overpriced, although I suspect that's true of all hotels in the area. Seems like a destination for children's parties -- large group of kids in the halls and pool when we arrived. Long wait for check-in.
The room was large and comfortable, similar to other Residence Inns I've stayed at. The full-sized kitchen would be great for longer stays. Since we were only there for one night, it wasn't particularly needed. Comfortable bed, lots of room to relax.

The manager in Saturday during the day was pretty rude about us using a space we had already got approved the night before. But thankfully they spoke with the people we talked to night before and allowed us to use the lobby to have lunch
The staff on Friday evening were amazing so helpful and super nice !!!! Went above and beyond to help our traveling group!

The property feels a bit dated. It was overall clean, but I felt it needed a fresh coat of pain, refurbish the elevators, newer furniture.

strange main entry-way that looked like a back-door.... the front desk looked like a small "after-thought" as if they'd forgotten to plan for it in the original building design and then had to slap one in there at the end.... and then of course, there was no restaurant/bar

What I didn’t like is the pool rules. Never had to reserve a swimming pool before so that was a bit much on top of it closing at 9pm
Breakfast what great the kitchen staff did a great job refilling the stations and keeping the dinning room clean..
