To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaWe ended up using the sofa bed and it was not very comfortable. I wouldn't count on it for a second bed if you have that option. Also, if you are planning on using the sofa bed, be aware the bathroom is only accessible through the bedroom. They were having key card issues that they were very responsive to, but we got locked out on the canal Friday morning and had to call for them to let us in.
Loved being on the canal for going for a run and the location was close to everything we needed. I was in town for the Marathon and the convention center, corrals, etc. were all very close. The breakfast was great as hotel breakfasts go with oatmeal, bacon, eggs, fruit, etc. No pancake station if that's a big deal to you.

United States of AmericaBreakfast was okay- wish that there were a little more choices with the hot portion of breakfast. We were able to go to the Hotel beside for some things but each time we went there- it was either closed down or a cook wasn't on site at the time. This was NOT the Residence Inn but they had an advertisement to go to the Courtyard for additional food.
The staff was EXTREMELY nice and accommodating. Being from out of town- I had lots of questions and didn't know the city very well. They gave suggestions, told me their favorite places and made the stay much more comfortable.

United States of AmericaWe slept on the sofa bed. It was without a doubt the worse bed I ever slept on. The mattress and or springs felt like we were slipping into a hole. In addition it was lumpy and extremely uncomfortable. We thought about sleeping on the floor!

First the location. Breakfast was OK but not great, The African American gentlemen who greeted us at the lobby is a huge asset to your hotel. He was most helpful as Booking.com screwed up the booking I just don't understand why they would call themselves Boioking.com when they cant even get that right. What they did was reverse my first and last name and so the hotel could not find our booking. This caused us a 30 minute delay in checking in. However the gentleman was tying hard as possible to fix the situation.
