Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

All was good!
Very well decorated with Northwoods theme. Very clean throughout, room was nice-sized with balcony to listen to the birds singing. Comfortable bed, good water flow from shower. Good, adequate breakfast, and complimentary coffee, tea, and cappuccino all day. Location was perfect: a little off the highway but tucked away in a foresty neighborhood.

Room was outdated, beds uncomfortable and full rather than queens. Clean, but outdated. Walls are thin, we were lucky to have neighbors that went to bed early.
Location is perfect, very close to Granite Peak. Able to walk, a bit through mud due to the high temps but during snow this would be absolutely perfect. Quiet, forested. Soaking tub was super nice after skiing.

There was the prior renter Garbage under the Sink.
The Manager, Barbara, was very helpful. She was especially generous with her time as she stayed there longer than normal for our late Check in. Which made our long trip from chicago seem a little less difficult.

Cozy comfortable and friendly, we had a fireside room. And had an actually fireplace that was extraordinary for cold night relaxing. In a quiet neighborhood amongst residential houses. Was even though we were In town for youth sports. Our room was a real getaway!

This is a very charming, quiet place to stay. The staff was so kind. I would recommend this to anyone who has an extended stay in the area with a patient in the nearby hospital. 5 minute drive to the hospital. I stayed in the room with the full kitchen, which was very convenient.

All was fine.
I was here for only an overnight stay to visit some relatives. Very nice location and facility. Barb was very good in getting me checked in and very pleasant to talk with. She has excellent with the customers.

The bed was more firm than I prefer. The walls seemed a little thin as we could hear people in the suite next door early (they weren't being loud, just normal conversation).
The room layout was wonderful - love the fireplace and kitchen in the room. Shower pressure was amazing! Couldn't ask for a better location to Granite Peak.

Could have used more lights in the room.
What a wonderful little hotel! The desk staff was friendly, the room was huge, the beds were comfortable. I will definitely stay here next time I'm in Wausau.

Overall we enjoyed our 2 days at The Rib Mountain Inn. We had a light go out in the room and I told the facility and they were going to fix right away. The light went out the morning we left so didn’t impact our stay.
We selected The Rib Mountain Inn as we had made last minute plans to be in Wausau. The price was very economical and we knew the neighborhood the hotel lies in.(very safer) The downstairs main room is very large & has an “Up North” feeling. Our room was spacious and clean. You have to understand this is not a modern hotel, rather a neighborhood hidden gem. Nice walking path leading to a ski hill next to the property line. Staff so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are a bit aged but met our needs. I’d highly recommend this spot when in Wausau.

Did not like that when we called to ask about the hot tub they said it was running, when we arrived it was down for seasonal maintenance, very disappointing. Would have liked to see a couple gluten-free options for breakfast other than fruit.
The location was beautiful, 3 minutes from the shopping area, and beautiful scenery with the trees. Breakfast was great with lots of choices, small hotel with big rooms, loved the decor and the balcony.

Continental breakfast was supposed to open at 7:00 but didn't until 7:30. There were few guests that day so suspect staff was late so no big issue.
Room was very roomy and had fridge and microwave and nice sized coffee pot. Large flat screen TV to watch the Pack play! Comfy pillows, not the foam rubber type you find in most motels!
