    Very restful apartment for Charleston
    • Business trip
    • Couple
    • Two-Bedroom Apartment
    • Stayed 2 nights

(Chuckle) The curtains and bed linens were raucously in conflict, but we didn't consider this a problem. We liked the apartment.

The apartment was clean, and we had plenty of room. There was a welcome package. The AC was on (too cool for us, but still, very courteous)

LR was very small but it was clean and quiet and the beds were comfortable.

It suited our needs well. We had a place to lounge, comfortable beds, and a coffee pot.

Clean, comfortable (for 2) apartment with easy access to public transit
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple
    • Two-Bedroom Apartment
    • Stayed 3 nights

Surprised to find that the apartment was right next to a freeway, though the traffic sound was well muffled. The info binder should include public transit details -- the stop for a free bus to downtown was just a block away. The kitchen wasn't well equipped for making a meal, e.g., no decent sized frying pan or baking pans.

Very clean and host has clearly put a lot of effort into decorating and outfitting the apartment. Welcoming bowl of chocolate candy and bottle of wine a nice touch. Good info on nearby restaurants.

I caught my shin on the bed drawer a couple of times; that stung. :) I'd advise small bottle of detergent for washing machine.

The rate was hands down most reasonable compared to what others were offering. The apartment was very neat and very well maintained. Location was good in that it was very close to bus line for access to city center. Free wine.

The location was hard to reach. The uber had a hard time reaching this place.

We liked that we had the entire place for ourselves.

The bed, pillows, and furniture were uncomfortable. The pillows were so bad we had to buy our own. The beds are platform beds and the mattress was hard on our backs. The furniture is futon/futon style, hard as a rock. Definitely not able to relax after a long day of walking. We learned the hard way that the door swells with the heat and it took us 15 minutes to figure out we had to pull the door hard toward us to unlock the keypad deadbolt.

The property was very clean and well stocked. Conveniently located to close downtown Charleston. We liked having a washer and dryer in the unit. The host was available and helpful when we needed them.

The location was good as it was just one block from the bus stop (bus was free), which provided easy access to the historical district and to the grocery store. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Beds were very comfortable. The apartment in general was very comfortable. It was nice to have a bottle of wine waiting for us upon our arrival and coffees for the next morning. Our hostess was able and willing to give us a later check out time to accommodate our flight schedule, which we greatly appreciated. We would definitely stay there again.

We had not been aware that the property was almost directly under the I-26. The outside was not attractive in spite of the plants outside the building. The curtains had been hung so they could not be opened which was a possible benefit because of the outlook onto a flyover but meant the room lights had to be on during the day.

Comfortable accommodation and well equipped kitchen.

The only thing I didn’t like was that it was right underneath an over pass. Sometimes it was a little noisy from the cars.

Beautiful property. Easily accessible from the highway. Not too far from anything we wanted to do.

Huge hidden costs. I needed a room for just myself for one night. This was advertised at about $105. After it was booked, the charge was about $220 including a cleaning fee. The address given was not correct; it was the building next door. I had to call the property manager to find the building as well as to get the combination for the door. This took more than one half hour. The internet did not work as the bill was not paid. The manager got this fixed before the evening was over. Then there was a list of charges that would be applied if I didn’t follow their draconian instructions. If I failed to wash my coffee cup it would cost me $30 or if I failed to remove my little bag of garbage, another $30.

    CLEAN AND FAIRLY WELL EQUIPPED
