It’s a little outdated

The bar tender - I can’t remember his name - at the outdoor bar was absolutely awesome - made a specialty Mojito that was fantastic! Overall the property is a bit dated - and could use a bit of a refresher - but the staff are first rate and the location is superb!

We were there for 2 nights and the hot tub was closed for a private party both nights. It was perfect evenings for the hot tub but not open for guests.

Not the fault of the hotel but the beach was full of seaweed. The hotel did a good job of clearing it but it took a few days and having the tractor going back and forth was not ideal.

The property is very well-maintained, especially the landscaped outdoor areas. The rooms and common spaces are updated and the overall design of the hotel is beautiful. The pools were fantastic. Loved the restaurants Lightkeepers, Cantina and Dune Burger.

When you book through Booking.com they don’t recognize the reward points at the Ritz. This is not written on the Booking.com terms so I miss you opportunity to get about 20,000 points with them. I will never booked through Booking.com again for this particular hotel

Restrooms by pool could use a refresh.

Room on PH floor had excellent view and lovely terrace. Every staff member encountered was friendly and helpful. Food was also better than expected. Pili did a wonderful massage!

Food. Poor options for a Ritz Hotel. Their food options make me think I won’t come back. Fair food just on weekends….one option….the rest is fast food… junk food.

Sometimes classes are cancelled without notice. On Tuesday I got up early & ran down to do yoga, only to find a cancellation notice on the door. Lightkeepers is closed for dinner on Mondays & Tuesdays. I left a message for Amanda, several times beginning Nov. 7th, to please return my call regarding a reservation for Thanksgiving dinner. She never did & therefore we had to go somewhere else for dinner. she was not helpful AT ALL.

The location was on the beach. There were many really good restaurants nearby. Overall, the staff was very competent. Our server Hassan was very nice & helpful. Caroline was especially impressive. She always had a smile & kind words for us. She was the first person to greet us when we arrived - with cold beverages & info about the resort. She was also a good listener & eager to help wherever possible.

The Lighthouse restaurant menu had a good variety. The Dune Burgers were exceptional. The Cantina restaurant was not up to par with what you would expect from a Ritz-Calrton.

You need to pay extra for a lot of the services, I would like to have an all-inclusive style as optional where you don't pay not even tips. It is relaxing not to touch money.

Staff was very professional and friendly, however we expected a higher level of service from the valet parking staff. Unfortunately, the beach was basically unusable because of the significant amount of seaweed.

Nice quiet location but not far from downtown. Bonus is that it is located near the lighthouse. Nice room and balcony. The grounds were beautiful. The food at the Mexican restaurant was delicious as was the breakfast buffet.
